Words of EVR Periyar who is hailed for Tamil pride:

““For more than 40 years, I have been describing Tamil as a barbarous language (Kattumirandi Mozhi) used only by barbarians.”

He further says:
“When Brahmins and the Brahmin-dominated government wanted to make Hindi a State language, I started, to a very limited extent, advocating the promotion of Tamil language only to oppose the imposition of Hindi language.”

So Tamil lang pride of Periyar & followers is just a hate.
Basically EVR Periyar was actual English bootlicker in my opinion.
Read what he further says:

“The only language that ought to replace Tamil is English.”

He wanted replacing Tamil the language of Barbarian (as he said) by English, as he further says:
“What is not there in English which can be found in Tamil Language?”

Such was his level of Tamil Language Pride.

EVR Periyar was not pro-Tamil Culture, rather he wanted to Islamise world.

He says in Kudiyarasu(23/8/1931):

"If world needs peace, unity & tranquility all religions must be decimated. Yet, with existence of a religion if the world can get peace, then in my opinion, it is Islam.”
EVR in Viduthalai(15/7/1947):
"There is so much in common with the original Dravidian religion & Islam. The Arab word for Dravidian religion is Islam. When the Aryan faith was sought to be forced on our people, the Prophet Md revived our people's original faith by means of Islam."
He was so inspired by idol breakers (today we have Taliban as one of them), that he launched full fledged campaign of breaking the Murtis of Bhagwan (Pillayar /Ganesha) in 1953.

It all began with his speech at Mangudi on April 28 1953. Below is an excerpt:
"We have to eradicate the gods who are responsible for the institution which portray us as sudras, people of low birth, (...). We have to break the idols of these gods. I start with Ganesa because it is he who is worshiped before undertaking any task.”
Then here is a statement by EVR Periyar in Viduthalai: (7/5/1953) for backlash:

"There is nothing to feel surprised or hesitant about breaking Pillayar (Ganesha) idol. Please let me know if there were a better means of expressing our feelings,
you sudra ministers, sudra members of parliament and the legislature, educators including vice chancellors, reputed millionaires, scholars, lords, former zamindars, former maharajas, Sri La Sri Heads of mutts! I am prepared to give a patient hearing to you."
When the matter of EVR Periyar becoming Butshikan (idol-breaker) reached the court here is what happened:

Judge Raman Nair: They made Pillayar idols and they broke them. Why do you question that?

Appellant: We had heartburn while seeing Pillayar idol being broken.
Judge: They did not start breaking all of a sudden. They were propagating for three months. Why did you foolishly go where the breaking took place? And get heartburn?

Saying so he dismissed the case.

EVR Periyar had said that the prices of clothes had increased because SC women had started wearing jackets(blouses).

This is Snippet from DMK magazine Murasoli, summarising his all of anti-SC statements.

Periyar had a lot of contempt for SC

:-) stop acting like a fool. Floor to Floor height per floor for office building is 4.0 metres.

Clear height for general platform itself is 15 meters & with such large span the structure itself would be 2 metres.
Rating of “A”? Dear moron, a building not designed by architect isn’t eligible for any rating.

This building’s performance is shit? Fool, finished in 2002 still it uses 25% less energy than conventional buildings of same nature.
Who is saying that this building is simple project. Only a person with no knowledge of architecture would say public terminal projects can’t be dealt with energy efficiency and culture centric parameter.

Passive cooling works best in public spaces moron.

1/n The founder of INA, Rash Behari Bose had found "a real leader of men," increasing his "revolutionary zeal," while meeting with Jatindranath Mukherjee(Bagha Jatin).

Snippet of text:book by Uma Mukherjee(1966) Jatindranath Mukherjee in 1909Two Great Indian Revolutionaries by Uma Mukherjee, 1966
2/n Arun Chandra Guha, a MP of Congress (1952-67) in his book, "First Spark of Revolution" described Jatin's acts after Alipore Case as "daring actions in Calcutta and in the districts, to revive the confidence of the people in the movement (...)"

Refer page 163, 1971 edition
3/n According to the Sedition Committee Report 1918, Jatin had introduced in "bank robbery on automobile taxi-cabs," a new feature in revolutionary crime (as they called it).

He was a real threat to Brits.

“If you agree with Savarkar, you will have political power, and he has a strong position in the Indian independence movement.”

— Rash Behari Bose in 1939 issues of Japanese Magazine Dai AjiaShugi

He also says: ‘Savarkar "is heroism, valor, adventure, and epitome of patriotism".
Well with people like Rash Behari Bose praising Savarkar as most important personality in Indian Independence Movement in 1939, such tall leader doesn’t needs certificate from non nuanced people like @t_d_h_nair

Here is image of Japanese Article
You can read the whole article written by Rash Behari Bose here savarkarsmarak.com/rashbiharibose…

Of course people like @t_d_h_nair have no clarity that independence case because of INA at large along with other mutinies.

Does Mr Nair who founded first INA?

The religious symbolism of different colours were pioneered by Mahatma Gandhi in 1921 session of congress.

He commissioned P Venkayya to design a flag with the spinning wheel on a red & green banner. The red was to signify Hindus and the green for Muslims.
But something is interesting here. Although Gandhi ji wanted the proposed flag to be presented at the Congress session of 1921, but it wasn’t complete on time.

Hence instantly another flag was proposed at the session with similar idea of religions with upgradation. Gandhi's Flag, introduced at the Congress meeting in 1921.
Gandhi points out later for the delay to be fortuitous since it allowed him to add colour for other religions. Along with red & green, white was added to represent all the other religions.

1/n Thread

While historians like Yusuf Ansari keep normalising Muslim Invasions Primary sources keep reminding us of atrocities.

Let’s check a few.

Qazi Mughisuddin's reply to Sultan Alauddin Khalji when he asks how to treat Hindus? Image
2/n Alauddin: "How are Hindus designated in the law, as payers of tributes or givers of tribute?

Qazi Mughisuddin: “They are called payers of tribute, & when the revenue officer demands silver from them, they should tender gold. Image
3/n If the officer throws dirt into their mouths, they must without reluctance open their mouths to receive it. By doing so they show their respect for the officer. The due subordination of the zimmi is exhibited in this humble payment & by this throwing of dirt in their mouths.
