Surprisingly complicated feelings. I (Tali) was a London tour guide for years, so I've forgotten more about the Queen than most people will ever know. I've seen how loved she is by people from all over the world. She's a mother, a sister. A human. She seemed nice. I'm sad. But 🧵
2/ she was also the figurehead of an empire and commonwealth that has oppressed millions and caused untold harm. I'm Welsh, and our country has endured generations of genuine cultural genocide in the name of the crown. Our suffering is nothing compared to others
3/ Elizabeth II may have not been the most actively oppressive or imperialist monarch, in many ways she was (relatively) progressive, but she still embodied and promoted the institution at the heart of these wrongs. I mourn for those that loved her and the millions who found
4/ comfort in her. But those who are less compassionate have every right not to be so, and I support them over some archaic one-sided notion of "decency" that always demands compassion from the oppressed and never the oppressor. That's some bullshit.
(Also the nice old lady did use taxpayer £££ to pay for her paedophile son to escape justice as recently as last year and that's not cool either)
Honestly I'm only sharing my thoughts because I know we have an international following, and many of you are interested to know. Sorry if you're not one of those interested people.
Anyway, I hope one day soon we can move on from a hereditary monarchy under which equality of opportunity by definition simply cannot exist in our country. I will miss her, in unexpected ways.

Like all in the UK, still waiting for the 20 Dec release date, but there definitely seem to be:
A) Some serious lore discrepancies
B) Some reinforcing of age-old good old-fashioned WoW racial stereotyping. As in, of the irl races that some WoW races are clearly based on 🧵
2/ WoW has always had the problem that much fantasy shares, that it's humans have a white European culture, whereas its non-human races often draw from irl non-white European cultures. Presenting other cultures as non-human is a cliche, boring and frankly kind of racist... 🧵
3/ and it is how they made WoW, so it is there. But that was 20 years ago, and we deserve more from our fantasy now tbh. Basically WoW's writers should be working very hard to avoid those cliches, and it doesnt sound like they succeeded here, and deserve criticism... 🧵
Commentbros: Yes Tali very good video HOWEVER I couldn’t help notice the WOMAN did not share her opinion CURIOUS why you didn’t have her speak on this WOMAN ISSUE HMM 🧐 I demand to hear what the woman thinks
1. As half of this channel, I am co-signer of everything on it. Also,
2. MAYBE don’t rely on women to do all the hard work all the time? Listen first, always, but normalise allies using their voices and platforms to call shit out. We need good allies more than ever
To be fair, most of these kinds of comments lack malicious intent. But it’s worth thinking about why you feel entitled to ask women for detailed breakdowns of their emotional landscapes whenever news of any abuse or discrimination breaks. No one owes you that 🙃
Don't know who needs to hear this, but I think the WoW devs are doing some amazing work in Shadowlands. The delays suck, but there's a lot of great stuff in Shadowlands and I think you deserve better than some of the shit you've been getting recently. Ok beer time
Also in my time I've met LOADS of people who work on the game in all kinds of capacities, and without exception every single one has been a passionate and whole-hearted WoW fan and nerd with countless hours logged in game. The idea that they don't care is absurd.
And yo, you're allowed to dislike a game, for ANY reason you like, that's not my concern. But people are coming out with borderline conspiracy theories to justify their anger right now and it's kind of sad
Using the "For Teldrssil" cinematic to work out Tyrande's DPS
A thread
(1) Nathanos's health scales by how many people are attacking him but when he spawns it is 2,656,000. We must assume that in a 1v1 with Tyrande this is what it would be.
(2) Tyrande enters when Nathanos is at 10% health, so when the cinematic starts, Nathanos is at 265,200
