2/ Solana has seen explosive growth over the past year. A consequence of that growth (and the original design), however, has been spam.
To combat spam, these huge changes have been under development.
Here are the highlights:
3/ QUIC is live on Mainnet Beta.
However, UDP is still enabled and needs to be turned off for a full transition.
4/ Stake-weighted QoS requires traffic to flow through QUIC.
It will be built out after UDP is turned off.
5/ Local fee markets are live!
An additional prioritization fee has been implemented and we already see 6% of non-voting TXs using it. Local fee markets can already form around this.
6/ To leverage this further, wallet interfaces will need to integrate and suggest a priority fee if there is ever a period of congestion.

1/ Congratulations to the @0xPolygon team for the announcement of their Polygon #zkEVM! This a huge feat for scaling Ethereum and zk technology.
What’s difficult about zk proofs and scalability, and how does the Polygon zkEVM try to solve them? Read on… 🧵
2/ Zk proofs are time-intensive and expensive to generate. On top of that, EVM support and compatibility is a problem. In order to build on top of a zk rollup, you may need to learn a new coding language and dev environment.
3/ So how does Polygon zkEVM address these issues? They're improving proof-generation times. Reduced costs; more speed; much good.
Polygon zkEVM also makes sure any Ethereum smart contract can be deployed directly onto it. The dev environment isn’t just familiar, it's the same.
2/ We completed our work on remote signers for Lighthouse, offering double signing protection via high watermark software. This let us reach an important milestone: currently, Coinbase Cloud validators are distributed roughly evenly across Lighthouse and Prysm.
3/ Additionally, while we greatly appreciate the Ethereum community's excellent public dashboards to advance client diversity, we are excited to provide a first-hand update: Coinbase Retail now has 65% of its validators on non-Prysm clients.
1/ gm frens! Who else is excited about Superfluid Staking on @osmosiszone ?
In this thread we’ll summarize what we know about the upcoming launch and how you can participate.👇
2/ What is Superfluid Staking? (SFS)
Superfluid staking is the ability to use liquidity provider (LP) tokens to participate in staking on @osmosiszone. This is similar to the idea of liquid staking, but in reverse.
3/ Rather than taking staked assets to DeFi, Superfluid Staking brings DeFi assets to staking.🤯 This aligns cosmonauts with the security of the network. This is possible on @osmosiszone thanks to its application-specific blockchain, or appchain, architecture.
