Pavlo Kovalchuk, a pediatric neurologist was seriously injured in a Russian missile strike on Vinnytsia on July 14. He passed away in hospital in Krakow, Poland.

70% of his body was burned. Doctors immediately applied a cooling treatment, infusion therapy, and performed the first operation. The next operation was performed on July 16, and the next day he was transported by helicopter to Lviv.
