I see a fresh barrage of abuse directed towards Solskjaer after the Martial interview, which I have still only seen snippets.
As with everything, context is everything.
What OGS managed to build was a miracle given the squad at his disposal & the unprecedented fixture list...

OGS was tasked with a long term rebuild & was never given the number of 1st choice signings to do so.
It could be said that only Maguire, AWB & Bruno were primary targets, although Cavani was a great leader for him, the club was dealing with Jose's disastrous transfer policy...

Solskjaer went on a brilliant run then set about reshaping the squad - He ruthlessly binned as many as he signed, while creating a functional, attacking team that was so good people thought it was the manager "holding them back" when in fact it was depth & quality....

The eRed fraternity believed the narrative spun by certain YouTube channels that it was all on the manager when in fact he was doing better than most would have done with the resources available.
Summer tournaments & Covid meant there was no proper pre-season for most players...

Rashford has never had one as a Pro Player.
The organisation, patterns & defensive organisation is all built in pre-season, along with the base fitness to prevent injuries through the campaign.
48 hours rest is needed between matches before proper training can be done....

United never had the luxury to plan, train & prepare for matches in the same way others did.
This fact was lost on most people as they blamed coaching & management for failings in the team despite almost every opponent having the physical advantage over us - Home ties became...

a greater advantage, as did newer training grounds during Social Distancing times as they tend to be bigger facilities.
Players like Pogba, Fred, Shaw, Martial, Rashford & Martial as well as Williams & #11 all played their best football for #MUFC under OGS in these circumstances.

The team scored lots of goals, kept clean sheets & beat all the top teams during this period & got to only the 7th Euro final in our history that was lost on penalties after a match missing Maguire & 24 hours less preparation that Villarreal.
DDG ignored coaches advice during...

The penalty shoot out & @ericbailly24 was unable to progress the ball as Maguire was badly missed, yet somehow the narrative is now that we sold the wrong player because English players were favoured by the *checks notes* Norwegian manager.

De Gea made no saves & missed his pen.
OGS had planned to ship him out as he is no longer reliable, brave, good in the air or able to distribute while resisting the press & Heaton was signed as cover.
The new era was to begin the following season with Neves & Trippier lined up..

The the owners saw the ultimate vanity signing & the busted flush that is #CR7 came in & destroyed the camaraderie in the group as well as the synergie on the pitch.
Using him in the same team as DDG made it impossible to defend high & remain compact or keep possession....

This was proven yet again on Thursday night as Sociedad's keeper pinged long passes out to the wings & CF repeatedly, even if several went out of play, the times it worked made it a viable tactic.
The fact ETH has gone long from the keeoer following the Brentford defeat...

is proof of this, yet people still can't admit it.
OGS said he was the "best in the world" while making moves to replace him last summer.
We then got the #WreckItRalf era where he called the players cvnts every week, set up in ludicrous formations & retained the keeper....

This tells us there were other outside influences affecting team selection & squad composition.
We only need to look at the list of players Solskjaer wanted & compare it to what he got & the timing of the signings to realise this.

Haaland, Grealish, Trippier, Neves & Bellingham were wanted - All at a time when they were still available for lesser fees than they went for, while Ake went to City after OGS publically wanted him & Grealish tweeted a pic of OT while it took 2 years to sign Sancho....

yet we lost James & #11 so were no stronger in that area.
ETH has come in & made some key signings & spent more than OGS was allowed to as well as dropping CR7 to the bench.
Had we made the signings we needed last summer this mess would not have been created.

Standing still is going backwards in football & United destroyed their own team last summer & now ETH us trying to undo the damage done by the board & Ralf.
He will not succeed with the current keeper, it isn't possible and the narrative will soon spin the other way for him...

OGS was tactically flexible, inventive & able to instill belief in his squad.
Pogba wide left, Shaw at LCB and James & Rashford countering against Liverpool are examples along with the 433, 4231 & 352 formations were used to great effect by Solskjaer & the coaching team...

We played through the thirds, pressed the middle third & used kur attacking players to score goals in flurries and dominate the score line - We were the mist exciting team in England & it became apparent that teams were gonna dig in against us & we needed reinforcements to...

Get past this.
ETH has won 4 matches by countering & playing long from the keeper.
OGS rarely went long & we played more attractive football in that time.
Erik needed to save his job after Brentford & Brighton exposed the Keeper & CR7 for the weaknesses they are...

This will take time, but we have to be better than falling for the same old bullshxt.
United sells, weather it be merch, shirts, likes or clicks.
- @ManUtd in crisis sells even more.
There are many good analytical accounts on this platform we can all learn from....

The revisionist narrative on OGS is total and utter nonsense - The players performances in that time period tells you this.

Learn from the past and watch for the signs they are trying to do it again.
Sacking managers is cheaper than backing them & the unrealistic expectations...

go hand in hand with that.

Everyone demanding the sacking of the manager become another #GlazerEnabler as they start again.
Solskajer was a great manager for us & left ETH with the basis of a good squad, but we still have 2 expensive lemons in De Gea & CR7 that ole didn't want.

The revisionism has to stop, as does the personal attacks on individual players and directly @ing them on their Social Media posts.
It doesn't help.
We are Manchester United, but we are a long way off the top and this is a long road back held back by the owners. #GlazersOut

So does the micro analysis of individual games, mistakes & errors.
Football is a low scoring invasion game where players make multiple errors, lose duels & miss chances in every single match.
If you are going to analyse, be better - Look for trends & direct comparisons...
