There's a lot going right in Nevada: Jobs are back. Tourists are back. Casinos are minting billions. But soaring housing prices and high gas costs have soured many voters on Biden, threatening to undo years of Democratic gains here: bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto has been narrowly leading Adam Laxalt in polls, and she has big advantages in $ and a well-developed ground game. And the overturning of Roe has given her a big wedge issue in a state in a state where a large majority has backed abortion rights.
Laxalt's sought to appeal to working class and Hispanic voters with a message focused on inflation, border security, etc. While inflation gives him an opening, many voters say they remain undecided.
EVs have computers which can control the time you charge. Really shouldn’t be *that difficult* to pool them as Tesla is doing for Powerwalls and then contect to the utility’s computers as dispatchable *demand* when grid has excess capacity.
There are parts of USA where wholesale power markets sometimes go negative when solar and wind etc are producing more than markets can use. This is a perfect time to be lighting up those large EV batteries, many just sitting there, plugged in, doing nothing.
Inflation watch: Muffin Pan mania remains just 25 cents at Funland.
