HODLONAUT V CRAIG WRIGHT TRIAL: DAY TWO

Real-time series of recap tweets for Sep 13th, 2022

Court is in session. CSW's lawyer is beginning his opening remarks.
CSW Lawyer presents the agreement of both parties that defamation has occurred - and then proceeds to outline the differences of freedom of speech and responsibility for what is said.
Talks about the purpose of freedom of speech and proposes it should be to search for truth and to facilitate debate.
CSW lawyer points out this case is not so many legal issues - but instead more about the interpretation of the law.
Lawyer just quoted DeaterBob... lol
Now CSW's lawyer is going through and reading various #craigwrightisafraud week tweets and talking about rabid and toxic maximalists.
CSW's lawyer explains that Craig Wright does not see BSV as a fork from BTC but instead sees it "pure and in line with the Whitepaper"
Lawyer now talks about a Telegram group "Bitcoin Plebs" and cites - @EndTheFed_org "who is in for some toxicity?" Lawyer outlines something he calls "organized bitcoin pleb attacks." Messages from BTC people call BSV people shitcoiners/scammers. "Who will make it toxic?"
CSW lawyer is now highlighting the Lightning Torch - trust chain initiative and various prominent bitcoin twitter profiles who engaged with @hodlonaut. He's talking about the large number of social media impressions from tallying the reach of accounts like @jack and @aantonop
CSW lawyer is now going through Craig's life history - and his interests. "He's interested in research, getting PHDs, development, and writing. His passion for Japan and cryptography is relevant for him writing the Whitepaper."
Getting symbolic now - discussing the origin of the name Satoshi Nakamoto. Wright explains (via his lawyer) that the inspiration is derived from ash - the phoenix bird that burns, and then is reborn from the ashes.
Lawyer continues to illustrate relevant experience that CSW has had that would lead to support that CSW wrote the Whitepaper. Cited there were six versions of the Whitepaper that CSW worked with and Lynam (Wright's uncle) said he got the Whitepaper before it was published. 👇
Breaking for lunch - will resume in 45 minutes.
And we're back! Diving into proofing sessions. Andersen and Satoshi coding together - CSW lawyer building an argument that it would have been hard for anyone but Satoshi to have been emailing with Andresen - and that Andresen would have known if CSW wasn't Satoshi.
Mansaus (CSW's lawyer) then cites a blog post from 2016 by Matonis. themonetaryfuture.blogspot.com/2016/05/how-i-…
Deep into the weeds of a story about Andresen and CSW. Mansaus has been telling about a time the two were trying to have a cryptographic proofing session to prove he is S.

This whole story is to point to Andresen as a credible witness (I guess?) but might have lost the plot...
Now Mansaus has been going on about CSW not being "the Satoshi the people want and that even if he could prove he is Satoshi, people would not claim him as their Satoshi." Cites bias in the hodlonaut case - that they are actively seeking to prove CSW is NOT Satoshi.
"I'm getting confused - all these documents... but in what context. Reddit?" - Judge
Reddit private messages between Electrum and Andreessen... (Electrum wanted to publish that he couldn't find downloads of signing file from UK IP address on that day but Andresen disagreed and said he found some downloads that could correspond from the signing sessions).
Been in the KPMG report evidence (which is very large) weeds. Mansaus (CSW lawyer) says @hodlonaut wants to create doubt in the documents and asserts that all 73 documents are fraudulent whereas CSW disagrees that all are fraudulent, but does admit that some of them are.
Mansaus introduced the autism expert witness (for tomorrow). The judge responded in saying she "doesn't think it's contested that autism is mental illness." But the lawyer wanted to clarify that CSW has a way of answering questions that isn't well-suited to the legal system.
And that's it for court for today! Will be going live with @BitcoinMagazine Live: @q_liketheletter & @Mandrik in a little less than THREE hours to discuss today's proceedings. Will post link below 👇

DAY THREE of the Hodlonaut v Craig Wright Trial in OSLO 🇳🇴

REPORTING LIVE tweet recaps all day 🧵👇

Court is in session - Hodlonaut is taking the stand now.
Judge has clarified the expectation for truth - including to not omit relevant details. Now both teams of lawyers will ask their questions of Hodlonaut - and the judge also mentioned she may ask some questions of her own after both parties have finished their own questioning.
Going through the personal backstory of hodlonaut's discovery of bitcoin and what most attracted him to it (decentralization - he never idolized Satoshi), timeline of his twitter adoption - as well as when he first learned about CSW (2015).

HODLONAUT V CRAIG WRIGHT TRIAL:

Recap of the first half of the day, Sep 12, 22

@hodlonaut's lawyer has been presenting the case. Starting with a brief overview/light explanation of #Bitcoin and then a timeline of evidence against Craig Wright's assertion to be Satoshi Nakamoto.
This case in Oslo is about multiple tweets by @hodlonaut from 2019 asserting that Craig Wright is a fraud (not Satoshi). CSW requested the tweets be deleted and also a statement be issued that he is in fact Nakamoto. While the tweets were deleted - no statement was issued.
The purpose of this trial is to assess to the degree that @hodlonaut's tweets were damaging - not to ultimately rule whether or not Craig Wright is Satoshi - but to do that fairly requires the judge to come to an understanding of whether or not CSW is Satoshi.
