We're proud to announce the formation of Brick Moon, a consultancy helping space habitat designers and mission planners.
The founders, @drspacejunk, @sevensixfive, and @jstpwalsh, are experienced researchers with backgrounds in the social sciences and architectural design. Our insights come from data, not anecdotes.
The name Brick Moon comes from the first fictional description of a space habitat, in a short story of the same name by Edward Everett Hale in 1869. We're inspired by his creativity and the long history of humans imagining their lives in space.
Our goal is to help you create orbital or planetary habitats that improve productivity, reduce costs, and support crew well-being. Our services include feedback on designs, policy papers, identification of overlooked issues, and educational events for clients.
We've spent decades studying how humans experience life in space, including on the International Space Station (@ISSarchaeology). Our work has been covered by international media, and our research appears in top-tier, peer-reviewed academic journals.
We're here to make worlds better. Reach out to us here or at brickmoonspace.com. We'll also be at #IAC2022 in Paris next week if you'd like to learn more in person!
