Storytelling is a superpower.

Sadly, most people aren't using it to its full potential.

Here are 7 storytelling resources you'll wish you knew sooner:
◾ Lessons from the screenplay

Michael analyzes some of my fav films like:

- The Shining
- The Dark Knight
- Inglourious Basterds

And share the storytelling techniques behind them.

Here's his most popular video on The Joker:
◾ Pixar's the art of storytelling

It shows you how to:

- Structure your stories
- Develop great characters
- Create your storyboarding

And the best thing, it's free.

◾ The Emotion Thesaurus

Conveying character's emotions is not easy.

But this book shows you how to do it for 75 emotions.

And your writing will go from "John left the room feeling angry" to "John slammed the door and left the room."
◾ 9 storytelling principles

In this thread I show you how to:

- Open loops
- Raise the stakes
- Build up tension

And other 6 principles to spice up your stories.
◾ Made to stick

This book's chapter 6 shows how stories help ups:

- Solve problems
- Inspire people to act
- Communicate more effectively

And how to use stories to make your ideas stick.
◾ The magical science of storytelling

Dopamine, oxytocin, and endorphine.

Three hormones that when induced, can help your audience relax, focus, and trust your message.

On this video, David shows how to do it through storytelling.
◾ 5 storytelling frameworks

If you don't know where to start...

You can use one of these 5 frameworks to write your own story.

My two favorites:

- The Pixar Framework
- The "What The Hell" Framework

Check them out:

1 million followers in 30 days.

How did Brendan Kane do it?

He attributes his success to the 6 principles of virality:
Brendan calls a literary agent and asks:

"If I get 1 million followers in 30 days, would you get me a publishing deal?"

The agent says yes.

And after achieving what seemed impossible, Brendan gets the deal.

But how did he do it? Image
After years of working for:

- MTV
- Taylor Swift
- Paramount Pictures

Brandon realized that social media was all about 1 thing:

➔ How long you can hold people's attention.

So he created, what he called, the communication algorithm.

Storytelling is a high ROI marketing and life skill.

Sadly, most people suck at it.

But If you avoid these 7 common mistakes, I guarantee you won’t:
1/ Don't have a clear through-line

Before you start writing...

Can you explain your story in 1 or 2 sentences?

If not, your story is doomed to fail.

Even a complex story like Inception is very simple at its core. Image
2/ Over-explain the story

Your audience doesn't want you to explain everything.

They want to experience the story.

And fill in the puzzle themselves.

It's the well-known advice "show, don't tell." Image

I made $24K in one week after only 3 months on Twitter.

If you want to build a profitable personal brand, read this:
1/ Start with 1 topic

At the beginning, I only wrote about copy.

That allowed me to:

1. Grow my reputation quicker

- It's easier for people to associate your name with 1 topic (rather than 3.)

2. Get better at it faster

- The more I wrote about it, the more feedback I got.
2/ Give your brand a tridimensional view

Don't only write in-depth content all the time.

Share also:
- The resources you use to create your best work
- The books and people who shaped who you are
- The experiences that got you to where you are today

Build a powerful personal brand and you can print money at will.

Sadly, most people don't know where to start.

Here's how to use The Helsinki Bus Framework to get started:
1/ Get on the bus

In Helsinki, there is a large bus station with two-dozen platforms.

The first decision you have to make is which bus to take.

I'm sure there are a bunch of topics you'd like to write about.

But at first, all that matters is that you pick one and get started.
2/ Don't stop at the first bus station

Let's say that each bus stop represents one month.

If you stop at the first bus station...

You're not giving yourself enough time to explore the topic you've chosen.

When things get hard, push it a little more to get to the next station.

7 secrets from Twitter's top creators to 3x your content output and 10x your growth:
1/ Repurpose underperforming threads

I repurposed an old thread and 10Xed its result.

I simply:
➔ Added visuals
➔ Used a better hook
➔ Made the sub-heads more catchy

New followers learned something new.

Old followers read a better thread on the same topic. Image
2/ Create a thread compilation

Two of my best performing threads are compilations of my threads.

I just take my best threads on a certain topic...

And connect them all into one thread.

7 tools to help you build your personal brand with $0 in 2022:
1/ @figma

Visuals make your content easy to digest.

And I use Figma to create all the visuals I use on my threads.

My favorite is the "bad VS good example:"
@figma 2/ @hypefury

You not only get a tool to schedule your tweets...

But also a library of hooks and tweet templates.

I currently use Tweethunter, but it's not free.

So if you're getting started, Hyperfury is your best option.
