π¨The @ONThealth school screening, tho flawed, is supposed to be & should still be done daily.
I'm not sure families understand that.
Moreover, they may not be able to or know to stay home with symptoms OR to mask with symptoms for 10 days onward.
It's way down the β page. /1
This oversight in direction & communication has consequences for #COVID19 transmission in school since there seems to be an understanding that you can attend school sick AND without a mask. The *wear a mask for 10 days* has really been overlooked. This is forced infection. /2
I also don't understand my responsibility if someone a) comes to school with new symptoms/becomes symptomatic at school, & b) has symptoms or confirmed covid but does not mask. I am not to encourage nor discourage masking. There isn't clear @ONeducation direction. What do I do?/3
I know this take is cynical but I do feel this confusion in messaging, these contracting statements, and shockingly dangerous lack of care is deliberate. It is disheartening & dangerous. Criminally negligent on the part of @fordnation@Sflecce@SylviaJonesMPP /4. #UnsafeSchools

#COVID19 Day6: still β instantly. The screening is confusing. Page 1 says *if you have symptoms of illness...stay home* then says *if you have no fever & improving symptoms click *None* which literally negates being symptomatic. I am up & down with low grade BUT.../1
My daughter literally could have gone to work/campus the DAY AFTER her 103 fever. Her fever broke & her symptoms improved on DAY2 of her infection. THE DAY SHE TESTED positive. She has stayed home all week. But this is a prime example of forced infection of a population. /2
Screening pushes you out into the community with a buried suggestion (2 screens down) of a mask that is *well-fitted*-so cloth? Are u kidding? avoid non-essential removal? What? So eating/drinking at school is ok when you are #COVID19 + with ~10^8 particles/ml in nose&lungs. /3
#COVID19 inf'n DAY5 (or6?): almost completely π past 2 days; managing 5min to make tea & toilet then need a few hours rest. I made it to garden today for fresh air~10 min. SINUS rinse helps pounding head pressure immenselyπ. Still very very dizzy. NOT A COLD!
NOT. A. COLD. /1
@CasualCognition thank you for the reminder on sinus rinse / neti pot bc it has helped with the head pounding & likely some viral load. I found some decent journal articles on sinus rinse while infected. I'll share them when I feel better. Thanks again. π€ππ€ /2
Also, nerds, my oxygen is good. We purchased an oximeter *in the beginning* knowing that my daughter's fevers & condition make her at risk. I had a 12 hr period where I was 93/94% (not great but not emergency either) but I rallied last night. Low grade fever is almost gone. /3
