Now, the pandemic is over, I find myself in a reflective mood.

Where are they now?

Remember the toilet bowl lickers? The #CoronavirusChallenge by Ava Louise?

I got curious, so looked to see if she ever caught CoVid.

Turns out she snuck into an NFL hotel...and promptly tested positive for CoVid.

I found the actual membership of that agency.

It's not often I disagree with Naomi.

A cultural shift will not work in the USA.

In South Korean, it took the 2003 SARS outbreak, yellow dust storms in mid 2000s, and MERS in 2015, on top of an entirely different culture to accomplish that shift.

Fortunately, we do have an
answer.

American Industrial education has led to a population far easier led than previously thought possible.

Mandates in place? Masks were worn although there was a shocking lack of explaining WHY masks were necessary.

People were led. They followed.

So far, our leaders
have been led by corporations focused on quarterly earnings.

There are three huge forces just now starting to get involved.

Economists, the insurance companies - and CoVid.

The insurance companies are hemorrhaging money due to a 40% increase in early mortality.

I am grateful for never having caught CoVid.

For not having LongCoVid.

For having folks generous enough on Twitter who HAVE HAD CoVid, or who have LongCoVid, to share their story.

For all the scientists and experts who share their information that keeps me safe.

I am grateful
for a President who is lying to us.

About our health. It gets no more basic than that.

The leader of the political party for which I voted for in every election. A leader reputed to be a kind and decent man.

Who just flat out lied to us.

There is a silver lining, here.
He has shown his cards. He has gone all-in.

But CoVid is the house, and the house never loses.

He will get sick again. He will learn to respect CoVid. Or he will die. Or get LongCoVid.

We just need to keep ignoring their lies. And keep on keeping on.
