In which actor Seokjin's desperate(?) tactic to get out of a marriage scandal is to grab a random reporter who called him 'yeobo' upon arriving at the airport and throw the word right back at him.

Seokjin can't call his reaction at the airport something other than a spur of the moment decision. He was tired from the flight, from memorizing lines for his next big role,
from the dozens of mails from his manager asking for the truth and nothing but the truth about the most recent scandal the media decided to sprinkle on him.
The straw that broke the camel's back was someone screaming 'yeobo' at him as he was blinded by the hundreds of flashes going off around him.
He remembers the urge to push everyone out of his way to go and grab that person by the neck and challenge them to call him that again. He remembers his bodyguard's hand trying to get a hold of his coat to pull him back from the crowd.
And he remembers the big, round eyes that stared right back at him as he grabbed the man by the front of his hoodie. The idea flickered in Seokjin's mind and became brighter than the lights from the cameras.
Seokjin blinked twice, which was enough to take the beauty of the man in, before pulling the stranger closer. One of his hands came up to cradle the man's face gently while the other held him close, almost menacingly.
And he made sure to speak loud and clear as he said "Darling, did you wait long?"

The man became a blushing mess and the shutter clicks intensified.
What happened between then and the now, Seokjin's too tired to think about. He's in the safety of his hotel room for the night, the man from the airport standing right in front of him as he dresses down to something more comfortable.
"You're going to be my husband for the next 100days," Seokjin says, halfway through unbuttoning his shirt. "I'll pay you 300 million won."

The man is staring, Seokjin realizes after a moment of silence. He think's maybe the man is too stunned from the proposal to answer.
"Holly shit, I just dreamt of your abs last night..." The man mumbles, mostly to himself.

"What?" Seokjin throws his shirt onto the bed and faces the man, hands on his hips.
"What?" The man parrots back. His eyes linger on Seokjin's naked torso for a few seconds more before coming up to meet Seokjin's unamused glare.
He finishes getting dressed and sits on a chair by the little table on the center of the room. Now that Seokjin's fully clothed again, the man's initial amazement seems to have dwindled down.

"What's your name?"
"Um..." The man fiddles with the professional camera still hanging from his neck, his fingers barely visible past his sweater paws. "Jeon Jungkook."

"Jungkook, what do you think about my offer?"
That question sets Jungkook off. Jungkook's eyes are everywhere but on Seokjin when he starts apologizing profusely. He says a bunch of things and nothing at all at the same time. He even tries to make it for the door, but Seokjin catches him by the wrist before he gets too far.
Seokjin makes sure to keep his hold gentle, his eyes anything but as they fix on Jungkook's. "I'm a critically acclaimed actor," Seokjin reminds him, modesty thrown out the window.
"What would people think of you if they saw me looking incredibly heartbroken after being abandoned by my beloved husband?"

The way Jungkook's face contorts into a horrified expression makes Seokjin's stomach turn. Maybe his little game is getting out of control.
He's about to take everything back and send Jungkook home, when Jungkook pulls out of his hold. Seokjin thinks he will just run away, but Jungkook grabs him by the shoulders.
"I'll do it," Jungkook blurts out, very shaky and almost desperate, his face a few inches away from Seokjin's, his breath smells like mint. "With one condition."

"Go ahead." Seokjin arches an eyebrow.

"I get the first scope for everything we do as a couple."
Seokjin grabs Jungkook by the chin and looks deep into his eyes, smirking. All he finds is determination and a spark of something else he can't quite describe. "Deal."
With a press conference scheduled for tonight as part of his movie promotions, there isn't a lot of time for Seokjin to come up with follow up for a plan that came out of nowhere two hours ago.
He already has twenty missed calls and three new emails from Yoongi, and he's sure more will come when he decides to send Jungkook to his penthouse in Hannam.
***
At the conference site, Seokjin is as good avoiding Yoongi as he is at dodging the uncomfortable questions from the reporters standing in front of the cast.
As expected, 'news' travel fast and almost all of the questions directed at him are about his secret marriage, the effusive receiving at the airport that afternoon and the possibility of his husband being introduced as an upcoming star.
Seokjin has a knack for leading conversations where he wants them to go, so he has no trouble redirecting the spotlight to the movie premier with each and every answer.
He never explicitly says it, but he knows that the press will be expecting him to show up with his husband to the event.
Seokjin's luck has apparently ran empty by the time conference is over, because Min Yoongi is waiting for him in the parking lot, next to the car that will take him home to Jungkook.
"Hello, Mr. Kim" Yoongi greets him. He sounds way too calm and way too kind for the amount of ice he's gotten from Seokjin since yesterday. He smiles, but it doesn’t reach his eyes and Seokjin thinks 'there it is'. "Where is he?"
Of course, Seokjin knows exactly who Yoongi’s talking about, he decides to play dumb anyway.

"What are you talking about?" He questions. He goes past his manager and tries to reach for the door handle of the passenger seat, but Yoongi slaps his hand away.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about, so don't make me waste time," Yoongi hisses. "Please." He adds as an afterthought, in a gentler tone.
They're mostly alone, only Seokjin’s bodyguard could bare witness to whatever Yoongi decides to do if Seokjin pisses him off further.
But Seokjin's pretty sure that Namjoon is kind of in love with Yoongi, so he can't consciously count on him to defend him given the case that Yoongi goes crazy. So, he does the third thing he does best after being handsome and being an amazing actor, he deflects.
"Can we talk about this tomorrow? When we're back in working hours?"

He braces for Yoongi to go off in a rant about how Seokjin's the most irresponsible person he's ever met, for the third time in as many days. Which is why he's pleasently surprised to hear Yoongi say:
"You know what? You're right. I don't get paid nearly enough to deal with your bullshit afterhours. See you tomorrow. Don't be late to the table read for your new drama." Yoongi pats Seokjin's shoulder amicably, nods to Namjoon and walks away.
"Shouldn’t you go after him?" Seokjin says to Namjoon, who stares at him as if he had grown a second head, surely an excuse ready to come out. "I know how to drive, and security is great in my building."
Namjoon smiles at him, all dimples. He reminds Seokjin that he's coming tomorrow before Seokjin goes to work (as if he didn't know already), and he makes a run in the direction Yoongi went.
Finally able to drop his shoulders, Seokjin goes home. He opens the door of his penthouse to the sound of the TV on and soft sniffling. When he walks into the living room he finds Jungkook curled up on the couch, cleaning tears from his reddened cheeks
as one of Seokjin's first movies plays in the background. It's a story about a work proposal that ends up in an unrequited love, quite sad for the general public, a very stupid concept in Seokjin’s opinion. It's also the one that launched him into fame, when he was only 19.
Seokjin knows that it's quite difficult to find that movie online, so Jungkook must have gone through the private colection Seokjin keeps of each and every one of the films he's been in. Which means that Jungkook didn't waste time if he already managed to find that.
The perpetrator of the crime (Seokjin doesn't know why he calls Jungkoon finding his private movie colection a crime, but he does) doesn't even realize Seokjin’s there, watching him cry, mesmerized because, somehow, Jungkook looks cute while crying.
His teary eyes reflect the light from the TV screen and Seokjin can’t find it in himself to look away, it's like he's hypnotized by the way the tears slowly roll down Jungkook’s wet cheeks when he blinks.

"Don't leave him! You idiot!" Jungkook suddenly whimpers.
And Seokjin screams.
Startled by the sudden loud noise, Jungkook jumps from his little nest on the couch to a fighting stance, hands fisted in front of him, and to Seokjin's decreasing mental health, Jungkook isn't waring any pants.
Jungkook’s eyes are wild, almost dangerous, he looks about ready to grab Seokjin in one of those karate moves and throw him over. But when Jungkook realizes that the noise came from Seokjin, he deflates completely and a pout takes over the snarl on his mouth.
Seokjin doesn't want to think Jungkook is cute, he doesn't. But Jungkook is cute without Seokjin thanking about it anyway. So, once again, he deflects.

"Why are you half naked?"
"What?" Jungkook stutters, face a deep pink as he pulls the hem of his hoodie down in an attempt to cover himself. Then he seems to think better, because he reaches for the blanket he had left on the couch and wraps it around himself.
"I'm waiting," Seokjin insists, arms crossed and a cocked eyebrow urging Jungkook to explain.

"I..." Jungkook starts, fidgeting with his own fingers. 'It must be a habit', Seokjin thinks. "I like being comfortable while watching movies," he whispers.
Seokjin fights his inner desire to laugh and pinch Jungkook’s blushing cheeks, instead he nods towards the screen. "Who gave you permission to look through my stuff?"

It dawns on Jungkook, for the first time maybe, that the movie may have been a bad idea.
It's very interesting to Seokjin how the man who seemed about ready to fight danger bare handed, can look so very soft and so very fragile now because Seokjin's potentially angry at him (which Seokjin isn't, what he is is involuntarily endeared by the inocent display)
Jungkook’s eyes flicker between Seokjin and the TV and the bunch of dvds waiting for him to be played on the coffee table. Seokjin follows his line of sight to dvds and is quite surprised to find a group of his least-loved-by-the-general-public works.
All of the wroks where he played unimportan roles, where he appeared in one or two scenes, where he barely had any lines. All of them works from before becoming famous, from when cast directors chose him because 'he had a pretty face and was a decent actor'.
All of them works that Seokjin hated but did anyways because he needed to put food on his table. He wonders why Jungkook chose those.
Then he notices that Jungkook has been muttering apologies for a while now, nervously fighting with a lock of hair that refuses to stay behind his ear.
He doesn't know what drives him to it, but before he can think of stopping himself, Seokjin pulls a hairpin from his pocket (he allways carries at least two, just in case) and clips the curly lock for a Jungkook,
who in turn just stares at Seokjin, lips slightly parted and holding the stars in his eyes (but like, literal stars, not Seokjin's reflection).

"I'm sorry?" Jungkook says.
"Are you?" Seokjin teases. Then he starts leaning closer. He can hear Jungkook’s heart beating in his ears... or maybe that's his own, who knows.

Jungkook’s eyes flutter closed and Seokjin can feel the shaky exhales against his face.
Then there's a knock on the front door, the sound of it opening and the clatter of someone's boots on the floot.

Seokjin shakes his head as he pulls away from Jungkook, trying really hard to not pay atention to the disappointed whimper Jungkook lets out.
A second latter Jimin walks into the room, takes notice of the situation and tries to walk right back out without saying anything.

"What are you doing here?" Seokjin asks, feeling exhausted out of nowhere.
"Uh, I just came to borrow one of your cars, but I can go. Sorry for interrupting,"

Before Seokjin can even think about saying Jimin didn't interrupt anything,

"Oh my God! Park Jimin!" Jungkook outright squeals.
Seokjin rolls his eyes, hands on his hips. Well, that's a reaction he didn't get, and he's above Jimin in every list of handsomest actors when they don't actually tie them on the first place!
Does he care about the lists? Of course not, which is why it's weird that Jungkook’s reaction to Jimin being here irks him so much.
What the hell is going on with him today? He doesn't even know the man, why does he care about what this cute (very, very cute) stranger thinks of him?
By the time Seokjin comes back from his thoughts, Jungkook is in front of Jimin, shaking his hand vigorously and staring at him like he hung the sun. Jimin smirks at Seokjin’s frown over Jungkook’s shoulder and Seokjin scoffs.
He grabs the keys of Jimin’s favorite car from the rack, walks towards them and with all the gentleness he can muster at the moment, he moves Jungkook to the side and pushes the keys into Jimin’s chest, maybe with the intent to hurt a little.
"You better call before coming next time, or I'm changing the code" Seokjin hisses, close to Jimin’s face.

Jimin smiles sickly sweet, then he kisses Seokjin on the cheek, closer to the corner of his mouth and says "Thank you hyung, I love you."
He steps back and, with a wink towards Jungkook, walks out of the apartment. Seokjin sighs, when he turns around Jungkook is staring at him, the expression on his face is a mix between anger and a pout, almost like a child throwing a temper tantrum but not quite.
"That's cheating, husband," Jungkook lisps. He takes the haripin off and throws it to the floor, then he goes back to the movie still playing on the TV.

Seokjin starts to think that maybe he won't survive his own plan.
✨️✨️✨️

Jungkook pulls his legs under his hoodie and rests his chin on his knees, his eyes are fixed on the screen. He's not an actor, but he can at least pretend (he hopes).
He can pretend that he isn't about to combust from everything that happened today, but most specifically from everything that hapened since Seokjin (Oh GOd, Kim Seokjin!) came home from the press conference (that he streamed from his phone while watching the movie).
Jungkook is still inclined to believe that all of this is a dream. He can't comprehend how he ended up here, on Kim Seokjin's couch, watching Kim Seokjin's private movie colection.
When he hears Seokjin's retreating steps, he chances a look to the pink hairpin laying on the floor. They were about to kiss, weren't they? Jungkook covers his mouth with his sweater paws to muffle his fanboying screams.
It must be real, right? It has to be, because never in his wildest dreams he has ever had such a Y/N moment with his homosexual awakening and permanent celebrity crush. It all feels like a fanfic, but art imitates life, right? Right?!
/here on out I won't put tbc tweets. It isn't over until you see 'the end' in uppercase.

A little #jinkook #kookjin based on this tweet.

When Seokjin conceives the joke it feels like the greatest idea he has ever had. Yoongi gives him a dead stare once he's heard the plan and advices against it, but Seokjin doesn't listen. Image
He finds Jungkook on the kitchen, making a sandwich, so he sits by the table to wait for him to finish. Jungkook’s eyes light up when he looks at Seokjin, he takes an empty spot next to him and offers half of his food, but Seokjin gently declines, leaning an elbow on the table.
"If I asked, would you give me a forehead kiss?" Seokjin asks, going for casual.

Jungkook almost chokes, his eyes wide and cheeks pink after he recovers. "Um... Yes, I would" he answers, oh-so-softly. "Do... do you want one?"
