Today, I filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump for engaging in years of financial fraud to enrich himself, his family, and the Trump Organization. 

There aren't two sets of laws for people in this nation: former presidents must be held to the same standards as everyday Americans.
Actions have consequences. We're seeking to:

➡️Make Trump pay $250 million.

➡️Ban the Trumps from running NY businesses for good.

➡️Ban Trump and Trump Org from buying commercial real estate in NY for 5 yrs.

➡️We're making a criminal referral to the U.S. Dept of Justice.
With the help of Donald Jr., Eric, Ivanka, and other defendants, Trump variously unlawfully inflated and deflated his net worth by billions to obtain and satisfy loans, get insurance benefits, and pay lower taxes.

In short, he lied to gain massive financial benefits for himself.
We found that Trump, his family, and the Trump Org used fraudulent and misleading asset valuations over 200 times in 10 years on his annual financial statements.

These statements were then used to obtain hundreds of millions of dollars in loans and insurance coverage.
Trump's crimes are not victimless.

When the well-connected and powerful break the law to get more money than they are entitled to, it reduces resources available to working people, small businesses, and taxpayers.

I'm suing @HeartbeatIntl and 11 crisis pregnancy centers across New York for illegally advertising and promoting an abortion reversal treatment.
 
Abortions cannot be reversed, and this treatment could be incredibly dangerous.
@HeartbeatIntl is an anti-abortion group that works with crisis pregnancy centers to convince pregnant people to take an "Abortion Pill Reversal" treatment.

They claim the treatment is safe and effective, but there's no scientific proof and medical experts warn that it’s unsafe.
@HeartbeatIntl These groups claim that they can reverse a medication abortion by administering a high level of hormones after someone has taken mifepristone, the first of two pills to get a medication abortion.

In a massive victory, we won our case against Donald Trump for engaging in years of incredible financial fraud to enrich himself.

Trump, Donald Trump, Jr., Eric Trump, and his former executives must pay over $450 million in disgorgement and interest.
- Trump, Allen Weisselberg, and Jeff McConney are banned from serving as an officer or director of any New York company for three years.

- Weisselberg and McConney are banned for life from serving in any financial role at a New York company.
- Donald Trump, Jr. and Eric Trump are banned from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation for two years.

- Trump and the Trump Organization are banned from applying for loans from any New York financial institution for three years.

Donald Trump illegally profited off his years of financial fraud.

As we close our case, we're asking the court to make Trump pay $370 million in ill-gotten gains.

Everyday Americans can't lie and cheat the system for their own personal profit, and neither can former presidents.
Trump, his sons, and partners have made clear that they will keep committing fraud if given the chance.

We cannot give them that chance. We are asking the court to:
- Permanently ban Trump, Allen Weisselberg, and Jeffrey McConney from doing business in New York.

- Ban Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump from doing business in New York for 5 years.

- Install a monitor to oversee the Trump Organization and prevent future fraud.

#BREAKING: My office secured $328 million from @Uber and @Lyft for cheating its drivers out of years of pay and benefits.

This money will go back to over 100,000 hardworking people who deserve to be paid what they earned.
We found that @Uber and @Lyft took money out of their drivers' paychecks and prevented them from receiving valuable benefits they were entitled to.

They even failed to give their drivers paid sick leave as required by law.
In addition to paying back its drivers, @Uber and @Lyft will:

✅ Ensure drivers get a minimum pay rate, a first for thousands of drivers outside of New York City.

✅ Provide guaranteed paid sick leave. 

✅ Improve overall working conditions for its drivers.

Today, my office and a nationwide coalition of AGs are suing @Meta for harming kids with its platforms and fueling the youth mental health crisis.

We're going to end Meta's behavior and keep our kids safe online. ⤵️
Meta has claimed its platforms are safe for kids, but in reality, it knew its features were harmful.

The company designed its platforms with manipulative features that hook children while collecting data on kids under 13 without parental consent, violating child protection laws.
Its platforms are designed to ensure kids:

- Spend more time on their platforms.

- Compare themselves to their peers.

- And receive constant notifications, making them lose sleep and struggle to pay attention in school.
