The area where #DeFi and #NFTs meet is growing. But how does it look rn?
I would be keen to divide it in DeFi solutions that use NFTs, and NFT collections that use DeFi solutions.
And I think the terms #fNFTs and #NFTfi could consolidate to describe each type, respectively.

These are DeFi solutions that use NFTs to represent more complex positions than just holding an ERC20 token. They can represent a claim to a financial position in a SC or even have actual ERC20 tokens inside the NFT 🤯
Let’s see some examples:

@Uniswap v3 positions might be the OG #fNFTs, where an NFT is minted upon depositing liquidity to capture the range in which the user decides to LP.
@RevestFinance general purpose NFTs for yield generating assets.
@SolvProtocol’s semi fungible tokens.

Solidly model based #veNFTs from Andre Cronje’s @solidlyexchange and its relaunch on mainnet @SolidlyETH, also @VelodromeFi on @optimismFND and soon @Equalizer0x on @FantomFDN 👀
veNFTs have ERC20 tokens locked inside the ERC721 making the🔒veTokens liquid as NFTs.

Finally #Reliquary by @ByteMasons with its “non fungible MasterChef” will allow protocols to incentivize liquidity in an NFT with a curve, making the NFT more valuable as it matures, creating the incentive to sell the NFT instead of withdrawing the liquidity (weeen 👀)

Solutions to make valuable NFT collections (think expensive jpgs) more liquid, borrow against them as collateral, etc. There are now lots of solutions here and will only keep expanding!
