Firstly, the good: @oliviachow and @shelleycarroll have taken the political risk of raising property taxes to shore up finances. We support the change!
We believe this puts Toronto in a good bargaining position with the Feds for justifiable reasons. (2/X).

We have capacity shortages in the shelter system because of the *growing amount of chronic homelessness* that is by and large an outcome of multiple decades of bad housing policy. (3/X)
