This week I shared training videos created by the CHOP Gender and Sexuality Development Clinic. Let’s learn more about its co-founder, Nadia Dowshen, and the clinics vision for education and schools.
12/6/18: Nadia spoke at an NIH Women's Health Seminar Series. She explains that transgender patients must have a medical diagnosis to receive treatment. The diagnosis used is Gender Dysphoria. It appears transitioning a child is assumed as the gold standard of care for this dx.
Puberty Blockers.
Starting a young child on puberty blockers is beneficial because, “it can delay irreversible secondary sex characteristics,” and can help a patient avoid top surgery.
These hormone treatments are expensive and can cost up to $40,000 a year.
Nadia states that impacting schools is a huge part CHOP’s Gender Clinic’s mission. They currently provide trainings for educators and schools, helping them to adopt and implement this ideology.
The mission to infiltrate schools was clearly stated in a 2016 paper Nadia authored. “Every school district should develop and incorporate LGBT-inclusive curriculum.” Here is an RTK email where a staff member of the gender clinic was “begging” to get trainings into schools.
“We can teach pronouns to our Kindergartners”
Let’s see some clips from one of the educational trainings offered by the CHOP Gender clinic.
The first is about teaching elementary kids pronouns.
Another feature of the trading is teaching educators how eliminate gender from their communication and classroom.
“There is no scientific reason why we ask students to line up ‘boys’ and ‘girls.’
“Gender Identity is considered confidential and private information.”
“When we get this information we keep it private from other students, other staff members, and from parents.”
Please note, this training was in conjunction with the @PAHumanServices. Elections matter.
If all treatment is based on a dx of Gender Dysphoria, why is transitioning the child seen as the best treatment?
Medicine used to assume parents were their child’s expert. Why are parents who challenge this course of treatment portrayed as adversarial and non-supportive?
Through a public record request, the DCNF obtained a link to a folder containing nearly 30 hours of recordings from WPATH’s September 2022 closed-door summit.
Here is a sampling of what we learned:
1. Video Shows Prominent Doctors Acknowledging, And Even Challenging, The Experimental Nature Of Sex Change Drugs
“Complications can be pretty bad for vaginoplasty and the most-dreaded complication is to perforate the rectum while you are dissecting the vaginal cavity,” Dr. Alex Laungani."
On Surgeon Training:
"We’ve seen a growing number of programs throughout the world of gender affirmation, probably with a lack of training and not proper training, for now,” said Laungani. “And so, you know, better ca–any care was better, probably, than no care."
"You need tissue, genital tissue, to create that vagina. And if we are taking an 11-year-old boy, who does not have a lot of genital tissue and blocking puberty right there, we’re preventing the growth of the vagina for down the road."
On calcium deficiency:
"The puberty blockers slow that calcium accrual back into the bones quite a bit, back to the prepubertal level."
"This is a concern that not everybody is getting their piggy bank completely filled up with calcium.”
🧵The idea that attempting to change your sex is ‘medically necessary’ is a critical lie of transgender ideology.
All sex reassignments procedures are cosmetic.
Your sex is encoded in your DNA and unchangeable. There is no medical necessity in trying to change this.
The classification of sex reassignments procedures as cosmetic vs. ‘medically necessary’ is important.
It impacts both the level of tolerated, acceptable risk associated with these procedures and the possibility of insurance coverage.
It’s ethical to tolerate a higher level of risk for procedures that are truly life saving, like neurosurgery for a brain bleed or bypass surgery for someone having a heart attack.
It would be unethical to tolerate the same high risks for a cosmetic procedure like a nose job.
🧵Bucks County Democrats Get Caught Misleading Public In Heated Local Elections
Last week, Democrats created signage WRONGFULLY suggesting the Teachers Union (CBEA) had endorsed the Democrat Central Bucks Slate of School Board Candidates.
Today, the Republican Central Bucks slate of candidates posted a statement refuting this endorsement, sharing an email from the local union president,l who said he did not support the signs or endorse a slate of candidates.
Mr. Kirsche wrote,
“I did not endorse the signs beforehand. In fact, had I been approached to support the signs posted, I would not have approved them…”
“Dr. Lucabaugh, you should be receiving a letter of apology…”
