I've mentioned this before, but it bears repeating, and you can ask any young transitioner and they'll tell you: a lot of older transitioners zealously support teenage transition because of a sexual component, either directly or as some form of projection.
That's why it's *SO IMPORTANT* to stop the "wrong" puberty. There are reams and reams of forced feminization stories on the Internet, especially involving teenagers (don't believe me, search for yourself), and supporting teen transition is a way to make the fantasy more tangible.
The gender ideology says that even a person with a full beard and working penis is a woman. It also says that we must urgently stop "wrong puberty" in boys before they begin to look masculine.
This is not rational, but there really is a simple explanation: it's about sex.
Not every transwoman feels this way, btw. There are plenty of people out there who support transition for non-sexual reasons, but it's time we stop pretending that the sexual component doesn't exist, and it's time to realize how well the answer fits the question.

Spoke with @BuckAngel and @ninapaley tonight. Buck and I were often the first trans individuals that a person would meet, and knowing a trans person is important to societal acceptance. And I connected that to how badly detransitioners are suppressed by pro-trans organizations...
@BuckAngel@ninapaley I think that maybe places like GLAAD know that the more ordinary people get to know detransitioners, especially young ones who were medicalized as adolescents, the more people will realize that there are problems with the system.
@BuckAngel@ninapaley And I bet they think, "don't talk about it. Don't be public. If you detransition, do it quietly. If you do it publicly, we'll shame you. We'll harass you. We'll make you wish you'd never even detransitioned. Because if people get to know YOU, I'm scared what that means for ME."
I didn't grow up with Harry Potter. I grew up with @dduane's Young Wizards series. The main character was a nerdy, bullied girl. She becomes a wizard by speaking an oath. I tried speaking that oath too. I wished I could become a wizard. To escape bullies. To escape my problems.
I needed books like the Young Wizards series. I too was nerdy. I too was bullied. But I wasn't a girl—but I wanted to be one. Speaking Diane Duane's magical oath didn't turn me into a wizard. It didn't make me wiser either. In my late teens, I tried to become a girl though.
I took estrogen. I had sex reassignment surgery. I did my best to blend in to the world as a woman.
I should have learned something about the Wizarding World though—some things are fantasy, not reality.
Children who are medically transitioned become attached to a medical leash.

Nearly all of us are born with healthy and functioning endocrine systems. The cells in our bodies depend on both testosterone and estrogen to some degree. Of course, men's bodies depend more on the former and women's on the latter.
When a child is put on to puberty blockers, also called gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRH), the child's natural endocrine system is supplanted. It is stopped. For a child about to enter puberty, this causes an indefinite delay.
To the extent that the Republican party has an ideological drive to control women’s reproductive decisions, the Democratic party has a drive to normalize gender surgery for children.
In my opinion, every American should feel some measure of revulsion for both parties. I’m suspicious of anyone who doesn’t.
A ten year old girl cannot consent to what an adult does to her body. The government should not protect her abuser. The government should not be complicit in her abuse. Yes, in both cases.
Hey @SwipeWright , since @jack_turban will reply to you, or to @LeorSapir, or to @CEJacksonLaw, could you, on my behalf, please ask him why he blocks or ignores trans and detrans people who try to respectfully engage him? Thanks.
“Male violence” is a totally unrelated phrase that has nothing to do with the rest of this thread, because if it did, my account would be suspended. So clearly, there is no connection.
