On Sep 25, extremists abused Bangladeshi Hindu cricketer Liton Das for sharing greetings on Mahalaya.

They denounced idol worship, mocked Goddess Durga as an object ‘made of clay’ & hoped that Das would convert to the supposed ‘One True Faith.’
(1/n)
In a Facebook post, the Bangladeshi batsman shared a picture of an idol of Goddess Durga with the caption, “Subho Mahalaya! Mother Durga is arriving.”

Soon after, the usual suspects descended on his timeline and abused Das for being an adherent of the Hindu Faith.

KR TuRan wrote,“These stone idols cannot be sacred to anyone. Any rational individual will not worship an idol carved in stone. I welcome you to the fold of Islam. Come to the right path.”

Zaman: No religion other than Islam has any value on the face of the Earth.

Ferdous: You guys must understand that these idols made of clay won’t do any good. Because these idols are meaningless. This is why you should believe in Allah, your Creator.”

“World’s best religion is Islam,” commented Miyad on Liton Das’ post on Mahalaya.

“Let Allah provide guidance to everyone, and give them the wisdom to find the right path (Islam),” wrote Emrol. (5/n)
Imagine being such a low life that you have to tell others to convert to your religion under the delusional belief that it is the only 'True Faith.'

Not to forget that the fanatics found Liton Das' Mahalaya post to perpetuate their intolerance for others' religions. (6/n)
None of this is surprising in the context of Bangladesh. Check this viral video to have a sneak peek into the vicious indoctrination of children in the country's madrassas:

Religious supremacy, indoctrinated by clerics in young minds at radical Islamic seminaries, translates into real-life acts of violence against the Hindu community.

Do you remember how Iqbal Hossain placed a copy of the Quran in Durga Pandal last year and facilitated large-scale attacks on Hindus, by his co-religionists, under the garb of blasphemy?

I am not surprised that this idiot found Roger Federer's last tournament to play spoilsport.

These so-called 'climate activists' always use 'disruption' as a tool for their theatrics.

Left-wing activists in India have been under the illusion that Islamists are on their side when it came to women's rights.

Kavita Krishnan got a reality check today after she came out in support of the anti-hijab protests in Iran (over the death of #MahsaAmini).
(1/n)
The bone of contention was this social media post! Kavita had hailed the Iranian women, who took off their hijabs in protest over the brutal torture and death of Mahsa Amini. (2/n)
Kavita got slammed by a Sharia enthusiast who made it clear that Islamic laws cannot be compromised in pursuit of women's rights.

"Hijab is more important for women than gold ornaments or Kohinoor diamond" ~ Shadab Chauhan.

On September 12, the Congress party launched its ‘burn RSS’ campaign and featured a poster with burning khaki shorts (worn by RSS cadets).

Rahul Gandhi and Co. received flak on social media but guess who has now come to the defence of the party?

Watch (1/n)
Rajdeep Sardesai blamed the vicious campaign on the generational gap between the Congress old guard and the young social media team of the party.

“I was told today that veteran Congress leaders such as Digvijay Singh were strongly against it,” he claimed. (2/n)
"The campaign was proposed by the young social media team.”

"The Congress old guard opposed it tooth and nail. One veteran leader even proposed that the party members must meet the family of at least one RSS worker, killed by CPI (M) in Kerala."

These questions, posed at Draupadi Murmu, have nothing to do with her gender.

It has everything to do with the fact that she has been chosen as the Presidential candidate by the BJP.

This is exactly why I don't see 'journalists' casting the same aspersions about Margaret Alva.
Claims about Draupadi Murmu being a 'rubber stamp' are made by the same ecosystem, which had levelled similar allegations against Ram Nath Kovind.

Margaret Alva is however immune to such aspersions, given that she is a part of the said ecosystem.
Check some of the tweets by the usual suspects. Do you believe that this character assassination is due to her gender or her political affiliation?

A day before the 2022 Presidential election, Pritish Nandy casts aspersions on India’s inclusivity & laments about the supposed lack of diversity at the highest electoral office of the country.
(1/n)
While he talked about the ‘Indian race’ in the case of Kamala Harris (US Vice-President) and Rishi Sunak (potential UK PM candidate), Pritish Nandy was quick to shift the goalpost to religion in the Indian context.
(2/n)
He suggested that the interests of Muslims can be served only if there is a Muslim PM or President.

The same ecosystem had recently snubbed Draupadi Murmu by claiming that her tribal identity alone will not serve the interests of the ST community.
