1. Love or loathe him, Peter Obi is now on everyone’s lips. The only product selling like Coca Cola. Opposition PDP & APC can’t get enough of him. Cashtivists see him as the boogeyman. Some of us saw the light from the beginning, & heralded his coming. My People, WALK WITH ME.
2. Peter Obi is an IDEA whose time has come. Nigerians were dealt with terrible blows in 62 years. Many did not know what to do. OBIdients was born. It’s a Movement connecting millions of Nigerians around the world. Our camaraderie has gone through few reincarnations to get here.
3. Originally a cry for help so close to home, Camaraderie have gained steam. It is now a Movement of astronomical proportions. OBIdient is a new culture, a new way of life; a notion of A New Nigeria. There is a feeling of JOY & HOPE, what was thought impossible, is now possible.
4. Every nation is led by an IDEA. Good or bad, nations hinge their progress on ideas. Like Gorbachev (who was the last to lead the USSR) offered the Soviets: Perestroika & Glasnost, which led to the slow democratization & opening up of Russia, Nigeria should be no different.
5. While Perestroika (economic reforms) was hailed in the West, Glasnost (the easing of restrictions) offered greater freedom of the press, of religion, & political liberalization. However, progress is slow, tensions; inevitable. Back home in Russia, woes was still biting hard.
6. Like China is one country, two systems, Nigeria must develop its HOMEGROWN economic & political solutions, suitable to its peculiarities, & the time we are in. History has proven that Progress is slow. History if it’s any good, teaches us that every nation needs some patriots.
7. Just when Nigerians were about to give up, a new hero emerged. His name is Peter Obi. #EndSARS is a marathon, not a sprint; a Dream that never died. Our story represents the wonderful ways that underdogs can win. In the beginning, they never really saw us as any type of threat
8. That has changed, we are now an army of Formidables. We are ordinary people, doing extraordinary things. But to win, it’ll take more than single acts of courage. It’ll take an army of PVCs who will soon get the chance to fight for country & Glory. WILL U STAND UP & BE COUNTED?
9. We finally found affinity with someone that talks to us. We finally found the courage to stand up to the bullies. It’s so beautiful that Obi can talk to us directly. His sermons resonates with everybody. The sheer complexity of what we achieved in just 4 months, is staggering.
10. So pat yourselves on the back. WE DID THIS SH*T. We all are change-makers in our right. So do not let the naysayers put you down. FIGHT!! Nigeria is yours, that country belongs to you. It is yours to plough, & your children, & children’s children, shall inherit that land.
11. No Nigerian is more Nigerian than any Nigerian. We all share in the Great Promise of a New Nigeria, embodied in Peter Obi. God is our strength & our refuge. What we all share is camaraderie, a mutual love for everything righteous & just in the sight of the almighty.
12. Nigeria is still a young & beautiful country. There are wreckages left in its wake. But nothing is beyond repair. Even the worst prisons in the world came face to face with fate at some point. So Nigeria won’t remain an Alcatraz forever. YOUR COUNTRY NIGERIA IS CHANGING.
13. A Peaceful Political Revolution is underway. From the banks of River Benue to the plains of River Niger, down to Kainji & Jebba Dams, across the Jos & Mambilla Plateaus, a man, not a Saint, is shaping the tapestry of our History. Obi inspired a whole Generation, my Generation
14. 2023 is a year of Ballot Revolution & Citizens Retribution. A Referendum on Bad Governance. At first meet with Obi, you get a sense of someone who is undoubtedly charismatic, but also with a considerable ability to make you feel he is genuinely interested in your wellbeing.
15. Obi caught everyone’s imagination. But while he is loved by the people, the politicians have other ideas. You get a sense of an increasingly strained animosity towards him from the political class (who are finding it increasingly impossible to win public favor).
16. My People, I know that u guys love me & I love u too. I need u to help me through this journey, & I’ll help u juggle through as well. Let’s stick together. U are my favorite people, all of u. So let’s have fun, let’s create new memories, let’s have the most exciting campaigns
