said the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade in a statement. The Kenyan-made Exide batteries worth KES 9.24 million (USD 77,000) landed in Ghana last week, marking a formal start of preferential trading under the AfCFTA framework.

As the world’s largest free trade area by number of member states after the World Trade Organisation, the agreement aims to among other things expand intra-Africa trade across the regional economic communities and the continent in general.
