2/ This has everything you want under one hood:
+ Outliner - #roamantics will be satisfied
+ Supertags - tags on steriods, function like a database (Yep, a Notion of a real DB)
+ Strong query support designed for humans but powerful enough for programmers
+ Multiuser collab
+ API
3/ A crucial factor in choosing any Tool for Thought are the people behind the product.
Tana crew is fantastic. If I didn't have a job, I would be applying to work for them.
Amazing design & engineering team.
Friendly team, easy to work with, open to feedback.
4/ Check out this Tana tutorial by one of the TfT community leaders @cortexfutura.
Yes, nap as in sleeping during the day. For many years I have had the habit of a brief nap in the afternoon. Anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes.
Do naps help you in your thinking?
I personally think that napping is a Tool in our Tools for Thought
2/7 When we think of a tool for thinking, we are interested in anything that will help, not just software. Tools for Thought are any device, method, or thing that helps us improve our ability to think, connect and create.
Napping is such a tool.
3/7 For me personally, a power nap helps in the following way:
+ Refreshes the mind and renews energy
+ Balance the effects of sleep debt
Most Importantly, helps with creative thinking and problem solving.
1/ Playing with @RoamResearch today (All day). I try to give it a fair shot every few months. It is improving & has some unique features. But it still lacks the love and finesse of a product that is $15 a month.
I want to love it. I would love to return. But....
2/ Playing with mobile you see it's the mobile version of their website wrapped in a mobile container. it is poorly optimized for mobile, and lacks basics for mobile use.
No drag and drop of nodes, no gestures on a block level.
p.s. Obsidian stinks in this category as well.
3/ Here is the mobile app and its menu. I am in the mobile app, but it offers to "Install Roam".
I am confused: I am in Roam, but now I should install Roam?
