Interesting F9 data 1/n 🧵
In @BullishDumpling Catalyst Twitter space right now...

Sharing #ProjectCatalyst data is important. Thanks for the #Cardano community creators that put together these data. This has helped me to understand where more improvements can be made for F10
2/n

The swarm plot gives a great sense of voter decisions trends - in so much as the trend follows that highest *rated projects tended to get approved, and very very few low *rated projects were approved👍 @danny_cryptofay @benohanlon @mtschofield @IOHK_Charles Image
3/n FWIW I don't think this should be taken as the whole picture, nor should we assume that because proposals *rated high that voters went along with Proposal Assessors.

What it highlights to me is most proposals were not funded only because the budget ran out in the challenge
4/n Does this suggest budgets for challenges should be higher?

Or... that there were too many challenges and priorities?

Could priorities be better defined so to encourage more advances in those areas?

Q: What do you think about how priorities are set?
5/n This chart is fairly similar, you see where the bulk of the rating scores per challenge cluster Image
6/n This is a particularly important set of charts.

In the current PA/vPA Guidance, PAs are asked to score 1-5 from strongly disagree to strongly agree whether the proposal meets the criteria.

In traditional grants orgs, having spent sizeable chunks of my career in such orgs Image
7/n I would tend to see more of a bell curve.
More middle-fairing scores, with smaller distribution to the extremes (extremes being high-high and low-low scoring).

Instead we see a leaning into the ➡️ in all challenges
8/n

To me, this suggests a few things:
- scoring rubric needs more definition so its not based on just feelings of agree/disagree but more specified criterion to score highly
9/n
- PAs become more objective & answer the question 'if it was my money, would I fund it' ?
- Transcending just how the criteria is put together, we're Cardano fans and ada holders. Perhaps we see a little bit of rose-tinted glasses syndrome? I don't know. What do you think?
10/n

This is another interesting chart Fund9 Score vs %Request of challenge budget

TLDR

If you request large shares of the challenge/fund budget - you mostly get ratio'd

There are exceptions to the rule though as we see 📏

My 2 $ada. Equally important is your 2 $ada Image
