1./ Child harm and pseudo science. Pink News - which routinely defames and misrepresents- now claims that removing adolescent females' breasts makes them happier. Could anything be more irresponsible? So just how bad is this latest garbage "science" from the LGBTQ+ lobby?👇
2./ The first thing to say is that when it comes to surgery we should never forget the placebo effect. 20 years ago it was shown that a sham form of a common knee operation had identical outcomes in pain relief to the real thing. Why might that be? painscience.com/biblio/fascina…
3./ If people go through all the effort of surgery, which they've been told will relieve pain, their minds can convince them it has. In 2019 the BMJ decided the most common form of shoulder surgery was also no better than placebo. Millions across the world had undergone it.
4./ That's why all claims about the psychological impact of surgery should be treated skeptically. There are many other flaws with the study Pink News raves about. For a start the primary tool for measuring success was something called the Chest Dysphoria Measure. What's that? 👉
5./ It's a made-up scale invented in 2018 by Dr Johanna Olson-Kennedy. The same year she was caught on camera advocating mastectomy for 13 year olds and assuring parents if kids regretted it they could always get them reconstructed or "go and get them".👇
6./ That means Olson-Kennedy was already advocating mastectomy for teens before her made-up scale was accepted by any other wild-eyed activists, and before any research had been done on the actual impact on young people. That tells you all you need to know about her credentials.
7./ Her dumb, made-up scale measures girls' hatred for their breasts. Effectively, this paper reveals girls who hate their breasts have less hatred for their breasts after they are surgically removed. No shit. Get Stockholm on the phone, I've an entry for the Nobel Prize. Not.
8./ The whole field of so-called "gender affirming care" is a closed shop of such activists wilfully misusing "science" to push their trans agenda. One study the paper references was by this activist, Dr Jamie Mehringer. "He" did a much bigger study. Guess what Jamie found?
9./ Jamie discovered when young biological females take testosterone many find their "chest dysphoria" actually gets worse. Yes, it's official. Gender affirming care...can make lots of biological females hate their bodies more. Stockholm, are you still on the line?
10./ Mehringer's work did something important the Pink News approved paper didn't: acknowledge its selection bias towards "transmasculine" youth (what we used to call butch girls). Why does this matter? A huge part of the rise in "top surgery" is driven by "non binary" youth.
11./ For very "butch girls" the desire to appear "male" may explain their unfortunate embrace of surgery. But among "non-binary" youth there's often a more troubling dynamic. Influencer Micah Rajunov admits "he" wanted surgery for its own sake (at 1.27).
12./ Trans propaganda used to assert people needed surgery to create a simulacrum of the opposite sex. Now young people are being encouraged to see surgery as a means of sculpting their bodies to reflect a bewildering and fluid array of gender identities. Why does this matter?
13./ We already know adolescents, especially girls, obsess about their pubertal bodies and often self-harm. This may be driven by the pressure a highly sexualised world puts them under. We're in danger now of presenting them with surgery as a respectable way to self-harm.
14./ Regulators would not countenance the promotion of stomach-stapling for girls with anorexia, though it's almost certain they'd be as "happy" with the results as this paper claims patients were with mastectomies. But then anorexia isn't linked to a social justice movement.
15./ It's worth remembering this paper which advocates the carving up of young bodies only studied patients 3 months after their ops. It advocates "longer term follow up". This raises an obvious and salient question. Why is this research only being down now?
16./ This proves- just as with puberty blockers- that important, life-changing procedures have been introduced by tub-thumping advocates without the slightest evidence to back them. They are now rushing to try to justify the damage they have unleashed.
17./ Gender-affirming care is a scam that keeps second-rate researchers and corrupt LGBTQ+ organisations in business. To keep this disgusting show on the road thousands of kids are being gaslit so they willingly offer up their bodies to go under the knife. It's a global disgrace.
1./ Puberty Blockers. If you're wondering how cancer drugs used to chemically castrate offenders became a globally recommended treatment for vulnerable teenagers...wonder no more. A new paper by Dr Michael Biggs dissects the scandal. And it's a shocker.👇 tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.108…
2./ Biggs traces the 30 year long story of how a tiny experiment in Holland morphed into the 'Dutch Protocol', a treatment regimen that's helped make thousands of kids infertile but which is backed by leading science bodies and journals like the Lancet.👇 thelancet.com/journals/lanch…
3./ Like most reasonable folks you'd imagine if the Endocrine Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics the BMA and other medics have signed off on treating kids with blockers there must be really good evidence. Unfortunately, you'd be wrong. Here's how bad the evidence is.👉
1./ The gender identity goons are on the march. They've started with women and gays. Yesterday they attacked women in Brighton with smoke canisters. They also assaulted venerable gay rights activist Fred Sergeant in Vermont, leaving him injured. They'll come for you too soon....
2./ Fred's crime was he had a placard at the Pride march he helped found saying "Gay Not Queer". He believes the use of 'queer' obscures worrying attitudes to child safeguarding. Trans activists there handed these stickers out. Have you get the message yet from the sweethearts?
3./ In our institutions, the media and judicial system a slow inexorable capture by gender identity activists is underway as biological sex is replaced with invented and shifting notions like 'gender identity' which activists can constantly redefine to police our behaviour.
1./ An MP and his big fat porkies. You might think the only thing that buffoonish John Nicolson MP tells fibs about is @ALLIANCELGB. But John is a serial fibber. Here he is misrepresenting his student activism to try to get elected as University Rector. 👇
2./ He claimed as a student he "set up the Sexual Harrassment Committee". What he actually did was jump on a women's initiative and insist he be elected to the commitee too. Why? In those days Nicolson was stirring up fear about gay men sexually harrassing straight students.
3./ At the time, Nicolson was on the Board of the University Union; which was being boycotted by student unions across the UK; after they banned the Gay Society, which I led. On one occasion board members threw buckets of urine and beer over our peaceful picket.
1./ BIG NEWS: You know how our laws are being rewritten to incorporate gender identity? Well, slow down legislators! The long-predicted retreat of 'gender identity' may have begun. In a lecture later this month one of its doyennes will argue perhaps we should give the idea up.👇
2./ In a flyer for her lecture Fausto-Sterling drops this bombshell: "In this talk I will explain why....we probably should give up altogether on the idea of gender identity". Could somone get the Yogyakarta Principles on the phone to break the news?
3./ For years we were told 'gender identity' is such an established and concrete 'theory' our laws need to affirm it, HR at workplaces must centre it ...and women should be traduced and gays denounced if they argue the notion is confused and regressive. Now is it being cancelled?
1./ A thread on cops, clowns and political bias. Do you know why it's not funny when our cops behave like clowns and show bias whilst in uniform? It not only undermines public trust, it helps warp their judgement. These idiots are from @LincsPolice. Who they, you ask? 1/ of 7
2./ It was only a year ago the same force hit the headlines after one of their very friendly PCSOs, a transwoman, was in court accused of owning various dangerous weapons including a gun. The officer, Zoe Watts, also owned home-made bombs. As one does. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9…
3./ Local papers were horrified to discover Zoe Watts liked nothing more than using a rainbow coloured baseball bat to smash water melons with faces on it, including the Prime Minister's. They also wondered why @LincsPolice hadn't done basic safeguarding. thelincolnite.co.uk/2020/10/transg…
1./ Want to read the trans lobby's playbook? In 1996, Christine Burns wrote an essay about feminism. It's a textbook guide to playing the victim; including a disgusting quote about how "rapists have a better line in manners" than feminists. 1/ of 17.👇 butterfliesandwheels.org/2021/a-better-…
2./ The essay recounts a discussion between Burns and a group of feminists. Burns is determined to convince the women that transwomen "have more in common with the experience of their sisters than they blandly imagine." Savour the contempt of that word... "blandly".
3./ Have black activists ever sat down with Rachel Dolezal to discuss what they have in common? Did Filipino activists sit down with this bozo who claims he's Filipino cos he loves the food? If they were asked to, I bet their reaction won't be "bland".
