You are so hilarious @SaketGokhale . I feel pity on you.

The truth is that Timur was tenth generation, while Ghenghiz Khan was fifth generation from common Mongol Ancestor Tumanay Khan.

Truth is that Timur (Babur included)onwards they refrained from calling themselves Mughals.
Also @SaketGokhale according to Baburnama, Babur established “Timurid Gurkhaniya” empire not Mughal.

You might get surprised to know that Babur and Humayun have been found abusing Mughals in Baburnama & Humayunnama respectively.
As per ethnicity @gauravcsawant was absolutely correct. Both Timur and Babur had same ethnicity, Mughal.

Either you call both Mughal or both Timurid (by official assertions) @SaketGokhale, not one Timurid & other Mughal. Which school you went btw?
This is the family tree of Tumanay Khan @SaketGokhale . Both Genghis Khan & Timur have common ancestor.

Babur’s mother came from the lineage of Genghis while father Abu Said Mirza came from Timur’s lineage.
Grandfather Abu Said*

Setting the matter straight in this thread. Garba is absolutely Hindu in true sense and Kufr for Islam.

The word #Garba is nothing but the Sanskrit word for womb, often implying gestation or pregnancy; rather life.
As per the tradition the #Garba is performed around a clay lamp , called a Garbha Deep (say: womb lamp).

This lamp/deep represents life, & particularly the fetus in the womb.
Now, one must know one form of Maa Durga represent the fertility too, and green color signifies that.
The dancers thus show devotion to Maa Durga, the feminine form of divinity. Islam has no adore for any form of divinity except that of Allah.

One must also know that #Garba is performed in a circle symbolizing life and cyclic time against linear time of Islam.

Words of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore:

“(...) So, if the Muslims beat us & we,the Hindus, tolerate this without resistance-then, we will know that it is made possible only by our weakness.

For the sake of ourselves & our neighbour Muslims also, we have to discard our weakness.
We can appeal to our neighbour Muslims,’Please don't be cruel to us. No religion can be based on genocide’ - but this kind of appeal is nothing,but the weeping of the weak person. When the low pressure is created in the air, storm comes spontaneously;
nobody can stop it for sake for religion. Similarly, if weakness is cherished and be allowed to exist, torture comes automatically - nobody can stop it. Possibly, the Hindus and the Muslims can make a fake friendship to each other for a while, but that cannot last forever.

Few words of Dr Ambedkar:

“To the Muslims, a Hindu (and any non-Muslim) is a Kafir. A Kafir (non-believer in Islam) is not worthy of respect. He is a low born and without status.”
“That is why a country ruled by the kafir (non-muslim) is a ‘Dar ul harb’ (i.e. the land of war) to a Muslim, which must be conquered, by any means for the Muslims and turned into ‘Dar ul Islam’ (i.e., land of Muslims alone).
Given this, not further evidence seems necessary to prove that the Muslims will not obey a Hindu (or for that matter any non-Muslim) government.”

@SharjeelUsmani Forget, George Fernanandes, Dr Ambedkar always saw Muslims as people to be not trusted from 1939 onwards.

They called upon Wahhabism, & you cheered them.

Truth is that they condemned Wahhabism, only because of arch rivalry with Sunni, although they themselves were once Sunni.

Today you can see, they have every trait of Wahhabism including the forced conversion of Sunnis.
Iran was always forced to live the life what most powerful of any period deemed to be perfect.

They gave away Zoroastrianism, & then doctrine of Sunnah & then made subjects succumb to it.
Overnight they change faith system & communists once thought that Khomeini was fighting for justice for people.

The reign of Islam is all about power play & somehow each school of thought in Islam guides you to convert or vanquish all, including other schools of Islam.

1/n Shia conversion of Iran!

A thread.

I came across a book, “The Golden Age of Islam” written by Maurice Lombard.

It has cited primary sources which shows that Centuries after Islam had kicked out Zoroastrians by large from Persia, Sunni Islam was the primary faith.
2/n In terms of jurisprudence, they followed Shafi'i & Hanafi school.

The Safavids, who would lead forced conversion of Sunnis had followed Shafi'i Sufism themselves.

3/n The Shafiʽi is also popular as Madhhab al-Shāfiʿī, as one of the four major traditional schools of madhhab in Sunni Islam was founded (in 9th Century) by the Arab Muḥammad ibn Idrīs al-Shāfiʿī. He is also called “The father of Muslim jurisprudence.”

1/n In this thread, I show how uneducated were the arguments put by Advocate Dushyant Dave in the honourable Supreme Court.

Firstly, it is a factually wrong statement that ‘“we”adopted multiple religions.”

Abrahmic Faiths (Religions) imposed themselves upon people of Bharat.
2/n And our ancestors resisted them big time.

There was a reason why great Houses of Persia & Egypt fell to Islam & not India. There is a reason why he is having a surname Dave & not some Dawood etc.

It is far fetched to hypothesise that they chose different path for India.
3/n Though I can cite multiple primary sources, I chose to speak about “Timur” whose unfinished agenda is what Babur the extender Timurid Empire in Bharat (you wrongly read Babur founded Mughal Empire) & whose grandchildren you hail.
