I don't have a problem with David and have regularly defended him but the guy who regularly appears on Joy Reid's MSNBC show doesn't get to claim the moral ground here. A genuine fraud. A hack.
And the best thing, Nichols knows it. He 100% knows that he's doing every time he turns on his zoom for Joy Reid, a conspiracy bigot and racist, and yet he wheels on up. And he doesn't care. That's also being a part of the gutter. @RadioFreeTom
I don't have a problem with David personally. I do have a problem with the moral superiority of The Dispatch making a scene of leaving Fox News over Tucker Carlson, only to join MSNBC and share office space with Al Sharpton and Joy Reid. And they should have to answer for that.
I've just never understood the white hot rage for David French, other than his bad DC movie takes, or all movie takes. But your outlet doesn't start to suddenly get to appear on CNN who gave Trump unlimited media and NBC where Joy Reid applauded Steve Scalise getting shot.
No one promoted Trump more than Morning Joe, a tentpole NBC and MSNBC show. You don't get to just think you get away with saying Tucker is just a step too far but then sit in polite company with Scarborough. Sorry, it doesn't work that way. Enjoy your Naples Florida get-together.
If extremist rhetoric like stolen elections matters, then leave Fox and torch Carlson. Fine. But you don't get to just sit next to Jen Psaki, Chuck Todd, CNN, MSNBC, Joy Reid and expect a real principled conservative majority to return. Who do you think you're talking to now?
This is the problem with Atlantic/Dispatch/MSNBC etc.. You're not trying to speak with the political right anymore. You're speaking AT them. Who are you trying to convince while appearing on MSNBC and holding talks at the Tiburon golf course in Naples Florida?
If these guys actually cared, I mean really really cared, they would be booking events and talks on college campuses and not exclusive resort golf courses. That's where you interrupt *trumpism* or *Gutter Right*. They aren't. It's that simple.
And you certainly don't interrupt it or push back by appearing alongside Joy Reid or pontificating at The Atlantic.

Via @cspan - Here were notable Democrats who spoke out in objection of protest of Ohio's certification of electoral results in 2005. Recognize any of them? c-span.org/video/?185006-…
Brandt told Police that he ran down the teenager because he said he thought he was a Republican extremist on Facebook. The other was a Democrat politician who murdered a journalist who was writing negative stories about him. These are inescapable facts.
And you know who has been especially quiet on all of this? All of the mainstream internet 4Chan extremist reporters at places like Wash Post, CNN and NBC News. That was the point of my piece, they don't actually believe their own rhetoric on extremist political violence.
