A thread on #podcasting and sponsors:

Do you get at least 200 downloads per episode? Do your listeners trust you?

Then you can monetize your show with sponsors.

Here are 3 reasons why sponsors will help you become a better podcaster and a tip to get sponsors:
1) Sponsors help you keep the lights on.

Podcasting takes time and effort. Even a small sponsorship could help you pay for a new mic, your hosting service, or better editing tools.

With less financial pressure, life and podcasting are more fun.
2) You become a better storyteller.

You chose the brands you endorse. And you'll learn how to position them in your podcast episodes without coming across as too salesy.

Placing brands in front of your listeners forces you to learn storytelling.

That skill pays you for life.
3) Your listeners will appreciate the right sponsors.

You care about your listeners, so you only take on relevant brands.

Often, sponsors offer special deals like discounts for your listeners.

Thus, you're adding value to your listeners.
Podcast sponsors can keep your podcast running and pay for your bills.

If you don't know what to charge or how to pitch brands, I've got a course for you.

You can try it for just $1.

Some members did over $6k in deals within a week.

That's a wrap!

We’re don’t want to spend time on creating content.

We want to wave a wand like Harry Potter and see all the content appear right before us.

But which tools come close to being a magic wand? (Hint: it"s not AI).

🧵👇
Machines write text, create images, and even videos without you having to lift a finger.

Too bad that content needs to connect with our readers on a human level, needs to tell emotional stories, and grow our business.

AI doesn't do that (yet).
I see those content creation tools in four categories:

- Content creation
- Engagement & optimization
- Reputation management
- Research, tracking & analytics

You need at least one tool in each to put your content on steroids.

I've made six figures in brand deals over the past four years.

Having sponsors pay you to create content isn't as wrong as you think.

It's rather lucrative.

Here's why:

🧵
1) Not all sponsored posts aren't the same.

You could get paid to include relevant links in your articles.

Or to give honest reviews.

Or to share your experience.

Nobody says you're sugarcoating the reality.

You can and should stay true to yourself.
2) You can get paid more than you think.

I've closed sponsorships worth $7k for summits and email sponsorships for $2k.

And you don't need a big audience - just an engaged and loyal following.

Then, everything depends on your brand and positioning.

I just came across an article claiming how a site built with 100% AI content ranks to 10k visitors a month in Google.

Creators like you and me already compete with those sites and here are 3 reasons we'll win:
1) AI content has no personality.

It goes without saying that AI content rarely invokes emotion. I could tell you about that little Lego Iron Man helmet in my office.

Tony Stark is a hero and that piece of Lego inspires me to build my biz every day.
(Cont)

AI rarely pulls off these stories. It might rank but visitors won't stick and you won't see sign-ups to your newsletter with 100% AI-based content.

It's fun to play with for sure (and I use AI tools) but it's not "there yet".
