in case you've never seen it, todd mcfarlane's rendition of superman, from the excellent "invasion!" crossover is weird as hell

invasion, which started in late 88, is the first big crossover i can remember buying in real time. i read other stuff, like secret wars and crisis, by buying back issues.

as i said months ago, i know that some of the bitcoin etc fallout will hurt some regular people but i can't let it detract from the schadenfreude i feel every time theres a collapse in the fake internet money scam

maybe im a little bit luddite, although i love tech, but there's just something so dumb about people trading fake internet money and insisting its the future of commerce. and then theres the whole "im selling you a url that points to a gif, this is art" bullshit w nfts.

it also doesnt help that all the people hawking cybercash sound like either a scamster on an infomercial or your annoying friend/family member who just bought into an mlm scheme and is trying to get you to sign up for their "downline."
