It was an undeniable fact.

Bakugo Katsuki was in love with two people.

Izuku was the first one. Sweet little Izuku who has shown admiration from day one. Always Katsuki's most proclaimed fan. His one and only constant.

Until Kirishima came.

While everyone was certain that Izuku and Katsuki's strange dynamic would eventually lead to courtship, no one could have foreseen the arrival of someone who would cause them to question that "inevitable".

The unusual redhead omega was a breath of fresh air. He was tough and

friendly, unrelenting even in the face of his offer of friendship being cruelly rejected by the blonde alpha several times.

Greetings were ignored and harsh words were said, but Kirishima was optimistic and resilient. And eventually shoves turned into subtle touches and sharp

glares became fleeting glances.

Kirishima Eijiro was persistent and courageous.

Everything that Midoriya Izuku wasn't.

That's all the greenette could think about as he watches and stares, defeated and forlorn. Kirishima was casually clinging onto a surprisingly happy Katsuki.

/He's laughing/ the greenette becoming misty eyed at the sight.

/It's been a while since I've seen him so happy/.

"Oi, Izuku!" the very object of his woes calls out, the smile in his booming voice somehow makes Izuku's poor little heart grow heavier.

The small beta gives a

weak wave, trying so desperately to stop the pooling tears from cascading down his freckled cheek.

He was so busy choking back his sadness, he didn't see the falter in Katsuki's rare smile. The blonde was about to call out to him again when Kirishima called Katsuki's attention,

asking him what he should get both of them for lunch.

The blonde says some spicy dish, almost dismissively before turning back to invite Izuku but the beta was gone.

And although his heart sinks at the absence of Izuku, Kirishima's toothy grin and dumb jokes made it better.

Izuku could feel the glare from the heterochromatic eyes across him. Granted, that steely look wasn't meant for him but it was still sending shivers down his spine.

"He's an asshole," the usually timid male says. Well, timid to everyone else. Izuku knows this is the real

Todoroki Shoto. Blunt and expressive. All rolling eyes and random bouts of cluelessness.

He really is an endearing person.

"You should be mine instead," the youngest Todoroki said with a click of his tongue, roughly grabbing his noodles with his chopsticks and shoving it down

his mouth.

Ah, yes.

Another endearing quality of the resident ice prince. Having no fucking filter, especially for his feelings towards Izuku.

Izuku whose entire face is now flushed red, eyes still glistening from him /almost/ crying over his stupid childhood friend.

Shoto feels the strange pull in his chest. Something that happens exclusively for a certain teary eyed greenette.

Growing up in a lavish household, Shoto always did like pretty things. And Izuku? Izuku looks so pretty like this. With his expressive eyes shining like stars.

It's glistening like the diamonds that adorned his mother's thin neck. But he fucking hates it. Midoriya Izuku made him hate the things he's conditioned to love.

And no feeling could be stronger than that.

That's why he's angry! Livid! Losing his mind.

How dare Bakugo Katsuki.

Shoto sighs heavily, grabbing the handkerchief that he keeps in his pocket specifically for the beta. His anger slowly dissipates as he gently dabs the tear or two slipping from forest green eyes.

"Why do you cry so much for him?" Shoto asks quietly.

"Because I love him."

Izuku's eyes snap up at his best friend who was currently chuckling in amusement.

Mismatched eyes look at him fondly.

"The way you love is weird."

The greenette furrows his brows in confusion, his pout still wobbling from the residual sniffling.

"W-what do you mean?" he asks.

Izuku feels the soft palm against his tear stained cheeks, eyes involuntarily fluttering shut.

He doesn't see the intensity of the stare directed solely at him, mind only registering the calming scent rolling off of the alpha.

"When I say I love you, it means I adore you, Izu."

The taller male slowly breaks into a calm smile as Izuku snuggles against his heated hand.

"I won't ever cry over you--" the alpha says with so much confidence, it gives Izuku goosebumps.

"Because I will do /anything/ to be with you," the young heir says as he pulls away.

"That's what love means, Izuku," Shoto ends the discussion as a matter-of-factly before finishing the rest of his soba like nothing happened.

He gives a pointed look at Izuku.

"Now stop crying or I'll kiss you."

Izuku snorts and finally cracks a smile.

"You're so dumb, Sho."

And as he looks at the way the greenette's big doe eyes slowly turn into crescents, as he sees the peek of dimples from his dotted cheeks, Shoto couldn't fucking deny it.

"That, I definitely am."

Actually that's it for now ✋😩 I'm blueballing y'all but it's emotional. Emotional blueballing. More commonly known as cliffhanger.

I just wanna see the contrast of love that's divided and one that's intense and dedicated.

Work got me like this. Everyone blame my manager.

P.S. I also wrote this because people forgot how snappy Shoto was when he first met Izuku. Declaring rivalry and shit 😩🤧
