Friday night Senate landscape:

- Dems have taken CO, NH, WA off the board
- Have sturdy leads in AZ, GA, PA (Senate stays Dem)
- NC, NV, OH, WI are toss-ups
- 4 of 5 generics show Dems gaining
- Biden's approval rose, highest of year now

We should feel good about this.
We had a good week of polls. People should feel good.

No question I would rather be us than them.

But it's close, so close, and we have to keep doing the work.

And early vote is starting soon in many states.

It is critical Dems #VoteEarly. It helps us increase Dem turnout, makes our elections run more smoothly.

Vote early. Make your plans. It really matters.

So have conducted a few really interesting interviews in recent days.

First spoke to @djrothkopf about Russia, and the nature of the conflict we now find ourselves in.

David is a brilliant guy, always learn so much from him.

Spoke to @taraemcg, a pioneering digital strategist and founder of @CourierNewsroom.

This was a great conversation about countering the MAGA noise machine. It's clear we have a lot of to do.

Tara is so smart, so insightful. Do watch.

@taraemcg @CourierNewsroom Sat down with noted economist @robshapiro to talk about his new @monthly article, "Yes, Americans Are Better Off Under Biden."

We covered Rob's compelling data but broadened out into a discussion about Dems need to close the gap w/GOP on the economy.

It's time for another monthly jobs day thread, and once again we celebrate the remarkable strength and resilience of the US economy under @POTUS:

33.8m jobs - 16 yrs Clinton Obama
10m jobs - 20m months Biden
1.9m jobs - 16 years Bushes Trump 1/ Image
We are living in the one of the strongest, most robust economies any one of us will ever live through.

The American economy has come out the other side of COVID perhaps better than any major economy in the world. 2/

Jobs have been created under Biden at 50 times (yes 50 times) the rate they were created under last 3 GOP Presidents.

5 times as many jobs have been created under Biden in just 20 months as were created under last 3 GOP Presidents COMBINED over 16 years. 3/ Image

Entire MAGA ecosystem now firmly aligned with the geopolitics of Saudi Arabia and Russia.

Their leader is an actual business partner with the Saudis and a political partner of Putin.
The war in Ukraine is among other things an energy and climate war.

And the GOP has taken the side of Saudi Arabia and Russia against the US, West and and true American energy independence.

It's been a good week for the Democrats.

My latest take on polls, politics and the 2022 election:

New Post:

"It's Been A Good Week For Democrats."

Enjoy.

Biden keeps climbing. Best approval of the year as of this morning (-7.3). He's gained 11.5 pts in the last few months. Very encouraging for Dems.

Note this:

Dems have gained in last 5 538 weekly tracks:

Politico/MC 45-43 to 46-43 Dems +1
Econ/YouGov 46-47 to 47-46 +2
Reuters/Ipsos 34-33 to 37-32 +4
Morn Cons 48-44v to 49-44 +1
Rasmussen 42-44 to 44-45 +1

Biden's job approval best of 2022.

More on what has been on balance a good week for Democrats:

- gains in generics
- huge candidate cash hauls
- Biden job approval highest of 2022
- GA meltdown, Senate likely to stay Dem
- House in play

Cool moves 7 House races towards Dems:

Sorry to be a narrative buster but using 538's averages Fetterman is more likely to win than the candidates in 4 GOP held seats - FL, NC, OH, WI.

Fetterman +6
Rubio +5
Johnson +2
Budd +1
Ryan up 1 over Vance
More narrative busting.

In high quality @MorningConsult weekly track Dems *gaining* among likelies, have higher levels of enthusiasm to vote.

On balance political news and polls have been better for Dems this week, so far, than Rs.

Here's a roundup of some of what I am seeing:
