While the federal government is working to address climate change, Missouri Republican politicians are working for the fossil-fuel companies that pay them by spending millions on their campaigns.
Fitzpatrick accuses Ashcroft of breaking the law because he did not share the "cyber security reviews of the state’s local election authorities" with his office when they were requested. Ashcroft's office apparently does not know how to redact sensitive information.
According to Fitzpatrick, the law that passed in 2022 provides for the auditor's office to receive the cyber security reports.
