While Jewish worshippers celebrate Sukkot, apartheid Israel continues to violently repress the Indigenous Palestinians. Many areas including Nablus in the occupied West Bank and Shufat and Anata in occupied East Jerusalem have been placed under siege.

End of August, at the start of the school year, Israel escalated systematic attacks to stop families from sending their children to school.

Apartheid Israel denies Palestinians the right to education to try to drive them out of the 8 villages.

4 schools in Masafer Yatta (Jinba, Khalet Athaba’, Khirbet Al-Fakhiet, Khirbet al-Majaz) received demolition orders last week and Umm Qassah School, which serves 50 students from 4 Bedouin villages, is under threat from demolition since last year.
As the school year started, Israeli occupation forces denied teachers & students access to their schools in Jinba and Al-Fakhiet & arrested a teacher confiscating his car that he needs to reach the school.

BREAKING:@Google worker organizing with #NoTechForApartheid resigns over punishment of Palestinian & allied workers who speak up for Palestinian freedom. Workers don't want their labor to enable Israeli violence against Palestinians, but Google is systematically silencing them.🧵
Along with 100s of other Google workers, Ariel Koren spent over a year organizing against @amazon & @Google’s $1B contract with Israeli government & military which helps them surveil Palestinians, expand illegal settlements, and inflict violence on Palestinians under occupation.
Google workers don’t want to be complicit in Israeli apartheid and human rights violations.

As @nytimes reports, one Palestinian worker said, “Project Nimbus makes me feel like I am making a living off my family’s oppression.”

Pegasus spyware is just the latest example of #ApartheidTech piloted on Palestinians and deployed globally. Palestinian civil society is calling for a ban on the trade of mass surveillance technology.
