Newcomb is asked to describe the Wagner family dynamics. He said they were close.
When asked, Chris Newcomb said his sister was controlling. He said "when she said jumped, they jumped." Billy and Angela's relationship was "Dysfunctional." Billy was "as useless as tits on a boar. I'm sorry, am I allowed to say that?" @LawCrimeNetwork
Newcomb says Billy didn't want to do anything. He was always scheming. @LawCrimeNetwork
@LawCrimeNetwork Angie Canepa: “Was George protective of Jake?”
Chris Newcomb: “That was his little brother. He was told to protect him and take care of him.” Newcomb said Angela Wagner tried to act more like a mother to Bulvine and Sophia than she should have. @LawCrimeNetwork
Newcomb says George asked him to find a .40 caliber Glock for him once. Newcomb buys and trades things. @LawCrimeNetwork
Newcomb says of Hanna May Rhoden: I thought the world of her. She was a great mother. From what I saw, she was a great mother. Newcomb also liked Frankie Rhoden. @LawCrimeNetwork
Newcomb says George is the better mechanic between him and Jake. He says Billy told him about how he stole diesel fuel. He said he also knew that Billy used pills. Billy gave him money to get pills from an MD. @LawCrimeNetwork
Newcomb said he saw GW4's tattoo with the skull with the 8 ball in his mouth. He said he saw it but they didn't discuss the meaning @LawCrimeNetwork
Newcomb says the Wagners told him not to talk to BCI. He said he defended them at first. He said when Jake pleaded guilty he was enraged. He said that if he saw him, he would have beaten him within an inch of his life. "That is a monstrous act." @LawCrimeNetwork
Newcomb says he was also enraged at his sister, Angela. He says his mother, Rita, was also charged in the case. (Rita later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and agreed to testify). I would guess she'll be coming up soon. @LawCrimeNetwork
Rita Newcomb pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor of obstructing official business in December 2019 for lying about notarizing custody documents. Newcomb said he felt betrayed when Jake confessed. He would have never thought his family would do that @LawCrimeNetwork
Newcomb said after the homicides, somethings seemed to take on more significance, such as this profile pic on George's Facebook page. It has a wolf shot in the eye. Newcomb said he was aware one victim was shot in the eye (Kenneth) @LawCrimeNetwork
After this line of questioning ended, GW4 was whispering to his attorneys as court took an afternoon break @LawCrimeNetwork

Court's back in session. Kari Morrissey is going to testify. Judge says no one here is requiring her to be called as witness. Kari Morrissey says she is calling herself as a witness @LawCrimeNetwork
Morrissey is voluntarily calling herself as a witness. During my investigation of this case and my review of evidence in the case. I came to understand that there was a large batch of live ammo that was in the possession of Thell Reed, Hannah's father @LawCrimeNetwork
@LawCrimeNetwork I also came to realize that a portion of that ammo was taken to the 1883 training camp by Thell Reed and Seth Kenney. Kenney took some of the ammo and turned it into the SO to exonerate himself. It was tagged into evidence under the "Rust" case @LawCrimeNetwork
Back in the courtroom. No plea deal. Seth Kenney is on the stand @LawCrimeNetwork #AlecBaldwin
Seth Kenney knows Thell Reed (Hannah's dad). They're friends and know each other professionally @LawCrimeNetwork #AlecBaldwin
@LawCrimeNetwork Seth Kenney says they were at a cowboy training camp in Texas. Kenney says 325 rounds were taken to Texas. The Live Ammo marked "1883" was driven back to Albuquerque "after the shooting." @LawCrimeNetwork #AlecBaldwin
🧵FOOD FOR THOUGHT: "Egg Lady" juror was widely viewed as a juror favorable to the defense toward the end of the trial. "Blanket Lady" juror was viewed similarly. Becky Hill is accused of asking EL about her thoughts on the evidence and then making up a Facebook post (cont) 1/6
claiming Egg Lady's ex-husband posted that she was talking about the case in a bar. She denied it. That Facebook post has never been shared/revealed/found and the ex-husband denies ever posting it in the Walterboro page 2/6
Egg Lady was replaced - not by Blanket Lady - but by James - another alternate. His brother happened to be the brother of a Colleton Co. Sheriff's deputy who testified at trial (first responder). 3/6
Trying to listen (again) to wiretaps from in OH v. #GeorgeWagner. In one, Angela tells GW4: "They're going to have to show evidence, George. But look, they don't have to show evidence if they got one witness." GW4 then talks people being subpoenaed. @LawCrimeNetwork
AW: "This is what's been going through the grapevine that I've collected information on: they don't have anything. They don't have witnesses, they don't have nothing. Mom, is what they're going to try to use as a witness. They're going to try to use a family member."
GW4 agrees. Then they talk about other people. Angela doesn't understand why they (BCI) think Rita Newcomb (Angela's mother) will be a witness. This is about the grand jury proceedings in 2018 @LawCrimeNetwork
AFTERNOON BREAK IN OH v. #GeorgeWagnerIV: I think all of the questioning today was to make Jake Wagner comfortable taking questions from John Patrick Parker. @LawCrimeNetwork
After lunch, Parker asked Jake about all of the people he has lied to: The Rhodens- I did. The Manleys - I did. BCI- I did. You lied to Beth Anne - I did. @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker then asks: "you sir, are a cold-blooded killer?"
Jake smiles: "I am."
Parker: You're a liar.
Jake: I was. @LawCrimeNetwork
LUNCH BREAK IN OH v. #GeorgeWagnerIV: John Patrick Parker began the cross-examination by being more friendly than Wednesday. Jake seems very comfortable answering Q's from Parker. He has a sort of country boy charm. Hard to explain @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker said, "if you need a break, let me know." Jake responds smiling, "I gotcha." He starts by asking Jake about Billy teaching him to pick locks. Jake went into great detail about how Billy taught him how to do that at 10 or 11 @LawCrimeNetwork
Jake said Billy taught him, also learned by trial and error and Youtube. Jake said "I was very good." He also said he carried a pick in his wallet. Also, Billy taught him survival skills. How to evade police, enter a house @LawCrimeNetwork
