Tried out a different kind of assessment with Calculus students who are also taking Physics at the same time…integrated course with the awesome @mrtoltonphysics.

Presented students with this video. You might notice the ball bounces four times.
Asked students to determine 1) When the ball starts its seventh bounce 2) The maximum height of the seventh bounce 3) The initial velocity of the seventh bounce
Students could collaborate in class in groups of three to grab the data and set up their initial Desmos file.
The work to solve for the seventh bounces was individual work.
Here is one partial solution. This student looked at time intervals between bounces and how it decayed exponentially.
Neat thinking around the room and tons of engagement. A nice way to cap off the first unit of calculus which was mostly about limits, etc.
