FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with @Siemens_Energy and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to set up an Energy Training Centre at the Government Technical College, Ikorodu.
The training, which will be conducted in collaboration with the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board (@OfficialLASTVEB), will provide a Needs-based technical and vocational education to over 16,000 young people between ages 15 and 35.
Governor @jidesanwoolu says The deal with Siemens and GIZ, which are German companies, is another ‘promise made and promise kept’. He says his Govt gave a commitment to this partnership because of the conviction and necessity.
Governor @jidesanwoolu says Thousands of Lagosians will be trained with industry-required skills for the future of work at the Vocational Training College.
Finally, Governor @jidesanwoolu says: “We are excited because we are not only transferring skills to people in Government, but private citizens as well. The best technicians in Germany will be conducting these trainings.”

UPDATE: Earlier today, Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu commissioned the PEACE PARK at Ojota, the park is specially dedicated to everyone striving for the Sustenance of Peace and Harmony in Lagos State. ✌🏾 🌳
The PEACE PARK is located at the intersection between Ikorodu Road and the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Agboyi Ketu axis, is made up of three uniquely designed gardens with interconnecting walkways. The park sits on 25,700 square metres, with soft and hard landscaping elements.
Developed by Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (@LASPARKLagos), the recreation ground offers a welcoming aesthetics and relaxing ambience for leisure. It is located opposite to the M.K.O Abiola Garden along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and has easy access for visitors.

The #BadagryDeepSeaPort $2.5 billion Port project with 2,470m quay length container terminal, 560m quay length break bulk terminal, 265m quay length wheat/grain terminal, 1,370m quay length RoRo terminal & 360m quay length OSB terminal is all to be designed with minimum 18m depth
The #BadagryDeepSeaPort is part of a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) area seated on approximately 1,104 hectares of land, the FTZ comprises of the Port Zone, Logistics Zone, Industrial Zone and a Power Hub.

THREAD: FACTS about the Lagos State Auction Process that happened yesterday.
1. The Lagos State Taskforce in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Justice auctioned 134 forfeited and abandoned vehicles at the Taskforce compound in Alausa, Ikeja.
2. The role of Lagos State Taskforce is to carry out enforcement exercise which is confiscation of vehicles for traffic offenses, and handing them over to the MOBILE COURT (with evidence) for Judgement.
3. Some of the cars being auctioned here were confiscated Not for ONE WAY Alone, there are other offices that attracts just a fine but some people run away from the Court Process, thats why they have been forfeitted to the State Government after the stipulated period (BY LAW)
