They met when they were children, their match already decided from the day they were born.
These were turbulent time and alliances through marriage were
commonplace.
They basically grew up together, playing freely in the caste courtyards, often pulling practical pranks on patrolling guards and chaperones. Clearly the children loved each other dearly.
Their respective parents, advisors and anyone who saw them could only be
pleased by these interactions.
For they were sure that once Prince Wei Wuxian of Yiling married Lady Luo Qingyang of Lanling, an heir would be sure to follow.
—
Luo Qingyang arrived in Yiling a month before the wedding, accompanied only by her personal guard. There was no fanfare and no feast. Neither her or Wei Wuxian wished to pull funds for such a frivolous reason while the common folks were struggling during the war.
She saw Wei Wuxian waiting for her at bottom of the palace steps, excitedly waving at her. Standing stoically next to him was his personal royal guard. She gave him a fond smile, shaking her head as he jogged through the courtyard to meet her. He took her hand and placed a kiss
on her knuckles, as the tradition demands.
“My Lady Mianmian. I hope the journey went well?”
“Prince Yuandao. A pleasure to see you again. The road was fine, I was well guarded.”
The both of them looked at her guard.
When Wei Wuxian turned his gaze back to her, she smiled and nodded. His eyes sparkled with understanding. Offering her his arm, he whispered :
“I’m happy for you. Truly.”
“Thank you, dear friend. And you?”
She watched as pink dusted his cheeks as he glanced towards his own
guard. He let out a nervous laugh.
“His name is Lan Wangji. He’s… very good to me. It’s just hard… you know? Well I’m sure you know. I love you Mianmian, don’t get me wrong. But I wish this marriage didn’t have to happen.”
“Don’t worry dear Yuandao. All of us deserve to be
happy. We will find a way!”
—
The wedding took place a month later, as scheduled.
—
Nine months later, the Princess consort gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, they name her Mianmian. She is the spitting image of her mother.
With the promise of an official heir fulfilled, the advisors could finally rest easy knowing the line of succession was assured.
Prince Wei Wuxian dotes on the little princess the way an uncle would.
For he is not the father.
—
Now if Luo Qingyang and Wei Wuxian spent the first few nights of marital bliss jumping on the bed, having pillow fights, that’s for them to know. If other nights they simply laid in bed, reading aloud dialogues from various erotica novels to trick the ears of those pesky
advisors, they’ll take this secret to their graves.
—
Prince Wei Wuxian and Lady Luo Qingyang love each other dearly, that much is clear.
They just love their respective guards even more.
//That’s it! A bit rushed today because ✨life✨ but I enjoy WWX and LQY complicity.

Wishing on Runway Lights
It was another normal day at Yunmeng Airways.
Well, as normal as it could be considering that the supposed storm of the century was slowly moving in, bringing with it unprecedented amounts of snow, unrelenting winds and an astonishing number of flight

In Case of Emergency…
No.
No matter how he looks at it, this specific image on the emergency safety card looks extremely ambiguous.
Logically, he knows it’s depicting a bracing position. But did they need to make it look so… suggestive?
Truly shameless.
Still frowning, Lan Zhan looks up from the safety features card to the flight attendant standing in the aisle, a presence in the cabin during the video demonstration.
As if sensing eyes on him, the flight attendant locks gaze with him.

//So. I don’t know why, posting this one terrifies me. It’s one of my longer projects.
It came from two things : a single sentence; a random shower thought and real life events that happened to me. So this one is a bit more personal? Maybe that’s why I’m scared to share?
It was written sporadically, scenes out of order whenever inspiration struck. It might not
make sense but I promise I’ve thought of mostly all the unexplained details.
Sorry for the long note 😅//

It’s not long after Lan Zhan moves into his new house that he notices something strange. In hindsight, he probably should’ve inspected the property more thoroughly

Lan Zhan was only in town for a few days to attend an investors meeting with his brother. However, the Jin representative had left them a voice message earlier this morning telling them the meeting would sadly need to be pushed back a few hours for undisclosed reasons.
Lan Huan and Lan Zhan clearly heard quite a few women giggling in the background. They had shared a glance, silently and mutually deciding that whatever the Jins offered, they would be rejecting it.
Still, this turn of events has derailed Lan Zhan’s perfectly planned schedule.
Wei Wuxian always knew he liked girls. There was no questioning that.
But…
Wow.
Wowowowowowowowow.
Those were the only words his brain cells were able to form when he first laid eyes on Lan Wangji.
—
From the moment they met, Wei Wuxian made it his mission to annoy the Second Jade of Lan for the entire duration of the lectures at the Could Recesses.
And so, he started following the pristine Lan Wangji around, perstering him with with questions, teasing and pranking him constantly.
He didn’t really understand why at first. By all accounts, Lan Wangji was cold, distant, a boring fuddy-duddy. There was something making
