"Bring him here." Wei Wuxian commanded, leaning back on the throne, one leg crossing over the other, his expression calm and cool.
The guards spared each other a glance before they hesitantly grabbing the male in question, forcing him in front of
Wei Wuxian, who gestured with his finger. Another glance between the guards before they forced him on his knees.
Wei Wuxian's expression relaxed, an easy grin settling on his lips as he lifted his foot, tipping his chin up to capture that piercing golden gaze.
"So, Lan Zhan,
finally at my mercy."
Lan Zhan let out a slow breath. "And what do you plan to do, your majesty?"
His eyes twinkled slightly. "I'm going to make you mine." He leaned forward, fingers gracing his cheek before he paused when he heard someone behind him clear their throat.
Wei Ying's cheeks flushed a dark red and he sat up straight, glancing to the side of the throne where his mother and father stood, smirks on both of their faces.
"And what precisely are you doing on my throne?" His father question, arms crossing over his chest.
"And with your
personal guard no less." His mother's voice chirped, Wei Ying could hear she was about to laugh.
"I w-was just... I mean..."
"'Make you mine,' I believe he said." Wei Changze said, his eyes shimmering with mischief just like his son's had moments ago.
The tips of the guard's ears burned red and he cleared his throat as the two guards released his arms and he stood, instantly bowing. "Your majesties I apologize." He said formally, and instantly Wei Ying's expression dropped.
"...Lan Zhan..." His voice sounded so quiet.
"Mmm, A-Ying. Why don't you tell me what's going on?"
He looked away, "...I didn't think you two would be back yet." He mumbled.
"We left you in charge for a few hours, and the power went to your head? Forcing poor Lan Wangji to do your bidding." His father snickered quietly.
Cangse Sanren frowned and elbowed her husband in his ribs. "A-Ying."
"...Mama. I.. I really.. /really/ like Lan Zhan. He's not just a guard to me. He's my best friend, and.. I'm in love with him, and I just-"
She held her hand up to her son and he stopped speaking immediately.
"Lan Wangji."
"Yes, your majesty?" He immediately moved to kneel, but she stopped him with a gentle hand. "Do you reciprocate my son's feelings?" Her tone was soft, gentle.
He glanced to Wei Ying, who was watching him so anxiously, and then to his King and Queen. With a slow
breath, he nodded. "I do. Very much, your majesty. I-" He hesitated for a moment and Wei Ying's shoulder's dropped. "I know it is not my place, and I know you trusted me to protect him, so I apolog-"
"Nope." She stopped him. "Do not /ever/ apologize for your feelings." She
took a step forward and gently lifted Lan Wangji's head to meet her gaze despite his reluctance. "My son is old enough to court, yet he has shown no interest and now I understand why. Should you two wish to court, I give my blessing."
Both gold and silver eyes widened in
disbelief. "Mama... you.. you mean it?"
"I do." She stepped over to her son and cupped his face, kissing his forehead. "Your heart cannot lie, A-Ying. And Lan Zhan has protected you dutifully since the day he was assigned to you. Just as your father had done for me."
"What.. baba... did for you?"
"Yes, your baba was my knight as well."
Once more, surprise shocks the two teenagers. Neither knew that he was once a knight.
Wei Changze nodded. "I was appointed the princess's personal knight the minute she turned fourteen. I fell in love
so quickly, and I was lucky enough for her to fall in love with me as well." He held his hand out and his Queen took his hand, moving over to his side and wrapping her arms around his arm.
"I did. And I am absolutely an advocate for following your heart. So please, if you boys
truly love one another, then you have our blessings to court. And until Wei Ying is old enough to take the throne, if you could remain by his side as his knight, then I would be grateful."
Wei Ying was practically vibrating, his eyes glittering with happiness.
Lan Zhan's lips twitched into the smallest smile and he bowed deeply. "I would be honored, your majesty. I promise, I will always protect him with everything I have."
"I know you will." She said warmly, watching with a delighted expression as Wei Ying bounced in place for a
moment before he quite literally tackled his knight, who caught him easily, into a tight hug. "Lan Zhan!!"
Lan Zhan's arms wrapped around him and held him close, ears burning as Wei Ying nuzzled him, whispering. "You really are mine now~"

"A-Zhan, this is my boyfriend, Jiang Wanyin." Huan introduced, his hand resting sweetly on Jiang Wanyin's lower back,
The two shook hands and Lan Zhan nodded lightly. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Jiang Wanyin, thank you for taking care of my brother."
"I assure you, he doesn't
doesn't need anyone to take care of him."
Lan Huan smiled and kissed his boyfriend's cheek tenderly. "I thought you said you were here with your brother?"
"Ah, yeah, he's at that stupid arcade that's by the food court. I know you said your brother doesn't like crowds, so when
you said you were nearby, I came to the quietest part of the mall."
A soft expression graced Lan Huan's features, like he was swooning all over again. "Thank you. I know we sprung visiting on you last minute, but when you said you and your brother were at the mall,
Sorry guys, I know this isn't why anyone follows me, and I'm not looking for any sort of sympathy or pitty or anything.. I just need somewhere to vent.
Tomorrow marks 16 years since I lost my mom. Most days are fine. Of course I
think about her daily, but most days i can manage. This year has been hard. And I don't know why. I find myself thinking about her a lot. Missing her. Realizing how much of my life she missed. She wasn't there for my graduation. She wasn't there for my first boyfriend.
She wasn't there when I got accepted into college. She wasn't there when the pressure became too hard and I dropped out.
She wasn't there when I turned 21, when my sister was in the hospital and me and my best friend sat at home alone drinking a case of wine coolers that was
A soft hum left the God's lips, his eyes closed as he leaned back against the white and gold marble pillar, his fingers dancing slowly through his lover's hair, gently twirling and twisting his long bangs between his fingers.
The heavenly realm was beautiful today. Even more so than usual. Though that was to be expected.
"Wei Ying?" The soothing voice from his lap spoke up.
"Yes, your majesty?" His lips twitched into a smile and Starlight eyes glanced down, only to drown in a w a rm pool of honey.
"Shall we get moving to the celebration?"
"Is my lap not comfortable?" His grin only continued to grow.
There was a small huff before the mal rolled onto his side, pressing his face into the warm, toned skin of Wei Ying's stomach, only a thin fabric between them.
"Aand done~" Wei Ying Grinned and ran his wrist across his forehead to wipe the sweat. He looked over his display, pleased with how pretty it looked. He knew it was gonna be ruined in a matter of minutes once the market opened, but he could try.
"Wei Ying, are you finished?"
"All done, Qing-Jie!" He called, rounding the stall to fond her crouching down, setting some things under their stall for easier access.
"Need any help?"
"Nope, all done. I do need you to to run the stall though, I have to grab a few things."
"Sure, sure."
He plopped into his seat, watching as she disapeared amongst the stalls and a few people began to trickle in. He was proud of their selection. Fresh fruit, veggies, jams, and a few assorted hand made trinkets that Wei Ying widdled throughout the week.
Wei Ying was back stage after his performance, face buried in a towel as he cleaned himself up from the sweat. He could still hear the chatter from the leaving guests. It really had been one of his best performances!
He gave the towel a slow
drag down his face before he froze, feeling something tug at the leg of his pants.
He glanced down, having no idea what to expect, but he was met with the cutest little boy he had ever set eyes on.
He glanced around and saw his dressing room door open just slightly. And he
could hear the security going crazy. Ah. He slipped in.
Wei Ying smiled and crouched down so he was eye level with the little boy. "Hi there little bun!"
"Ah.. h-hello!" His round little cheeks flared red as if he hadn't been prepared for Wei Ying to actually answer him.
