A thread for Stratters trying to understand ICT stuffs

A.M.D -> [Accumulation,Manipulation,Dist]
The creation of a broadening formation. You want that initial tiny consolidation then expansion in opposite direction of TimeFrameContinuity and find the reversal back down.
Example $AMD [Funny enough..]
Orderblocks (Supply & Demand) & why they can make sense even with the understanding of broadening formations.

@RobInTheBlack Says S/D is the dumbest strategy because both sides of a range gets taken out- therefore your zones will fail given time.
Although that is true, if you have the context of direction [market drawing to top of TRI or bottom of TRI]

S/D ideas are respected UNTIL that reversal of price.

For example
Bias with ICT is very similar to #TheStrat although a bit more thorough.

Thorough in a sense that we can be buying on a red month or shorting on a green month based on where price is in context to the rest of the chart instead of where price is in context to it's open[ings]
I personally still like #TheStrat for higher timeframe bias as it is dead simple and hasn't steered me wrong on average in the past 3 years
These were the only two topics I wanted to cover, if you'd like any more then feel free to let me know below.

Of note is that it didn't shift structure. Personally don't think I'm staying up to play it

Orderblocks.

A thread on identifying which side of the market is winning. Image
What is an orderblock?

A high probability orderblock in my definition is an aggressive move that gets reversed [box setup ;) ]

Looking for this aggression will keep you out of crappy choppy action and will keep you on the right side of the market 80-90% of the time.
Examples..
Low probability example ImageImage

$UUP $DXY / $PDBC , $CL_F , $GC_F

Macro View of the market & my personal thoughts. ImageImageImage
( $UUP quarterly hammer = bullish bias)

A strengthening dollar is NOT good for the commodities industry & UUP was predictive from 2018 into the crash of commodities prices.

And in 2020 UUP marked the bottom for commodities with as the Covid crisis came underway.
As we're approaching the new quarter & month $UUP is attempting to put in a bullish hammer that would proceed in the direction of the yearly: the failed 2 going 3

Potentially signaling a mid-term top in commodities or at least a large part of the 'basket'.

WTF are those numbers on your charts @AlexsOptions ? Why are you saying that's the bottom?
What's a rev strat?
2-2 reversal? Looks like candles to me...
Pffft broadening formations? I want what you're smoking.

Any of my followers with those thoughts just read... #TheStrat
What is TheStrat? It's @RobInTheBlack 's strategy he's developed over many years that uses 3 fundamental truths in price action. These are important because price CANNOT trade outside of the rules we're going to talk about meaning we know EXACTLY what is happening.
3 Types of Candles (The funky numbers)

From 1 bar to the next only 3 things can happen (named as listed)
1: Inside bar
2: Break of previous high or low
3: Break of previous high AND low

This is important because knowing there's a finite amount of candles means... ImageImageImage
