And I don't use ANY of them as a full time trader.

I'll share everything I know so far about trading after the last 5+ years..

The last thing I share will make you look at every chart in a 100% new way if you've never seen this. Here's some lies and excuses you've heard. You'll find these hilarious by the end of this thread

1)You have to have a bias
2)This only works during certain market conditions
3)You have to lose 10s of thousands of dollars first
4)Algorithms are taking my stops
5)The market makers are screwing me
... the list goes on.

The truth is this..

Every box you see [color irrelevant] is a broadening formation.

🧵 You'll notice a few things... 1) Where do these broadening formations start?

They ALL start after making new lows ot a previous bar or multiple bars

New traders. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.

If you are chasing higher win rates you NEED to know this.

🧵 Short Thread 1) Risk reward has nothing to do with how the market is going to move.

It is always easier for the market to move 50 cents to your stop versus 2 dollars to your target.

Thus, your stop will always be more likely to be taken than your profit target with standard, single chart analysis.

This is EVERYTHING I wish I was told when I started. #1 What strategies do

Every strategy is trying to do the same thing, quantify [objectively describe] what the market is doing so that we can find repeating conditions and make money. Allowing us to have a trade idea [where to buy/sell] an invalidation of that idea [where we exit for a loss] and a target [where price is going]

The problem is many strategies rely on subjectivity. Meaning two traders trading a the same strategy can have two differing opinions on what the market is doing and what the market will do next.

Support and resistance traders have differing opinions on what qualifies as support and resistance.

Supply and demand traders have differing opinions on what qualifies as supply or demand zones.

etc.

If your strategy is based on opinion then you'll never be able to reliably identify the same condition over and over and therefore not be able to find consistency.

We'll build on this later.

A PNL doesn't matter for #TheStrat...

PNL reflects a person(s) ability to be profitable, but it has nothing to do with TheStrat being right or wrong.

#TheStrat is one of the few systems of technical analysis that is proven via 3 universal truths. These truths are indisputable [they're the truth!]

Lets dive in & show you why #TheStrat can't be disproven.

📚 THREAD Universal Truth #1

There's only 3 scenarios that can occur ever on any chart any market.

The definitions are laid out as follows

It is the day that Jesus died on the cross.

This is a historical fact & even most athiest scholars attest that this was a real historical event.

In Christianity this is believed as God showing up as a man--like a hand fills a glove, living a perfect life & accepting the suffering on the cross to show his love to the world and to offer forgiveness to every single person.

Including yourself.

We'll get to why God would even decide to do that in a second..

If you don’t understand reclaim, you won’t be able to make winning positions.

Let’s fix that. 📚

1/6 The Winning ‘Pattern’ The broadening formation tells us if price fails one side of a range it is attempting to take the other.

This is the winning pattern because it allows you to gauge magnitude, or where price is going.

Thus all trades are framed via this universal truth of price.

📚 How to create winning positions

Winning positions look like a reversal after price has made a new low or new high.

This is because when you make new highs it tells you of a buyer that took the offer and was willing to pay up!

If you make new lows it tells you of a seller that hit the bid and was willing to sell down!

Therefore when you reverse back through that range that aggressive buyer/seller is forced to do something! Either exit their position or attempt to defend their position. 2) What does a reversal look like?

A reversal looks like any of these patterns here. Given there is only 3 scenarios there is only so many ways price can reverse.

We never have to guess if price is reversing once we understand this.

The decoupling is a phenomenon that occurs with the opening prices of the aggregation series (candles).

The universal truth of the opening price is simple.

Price trades higher or lower. It does this because of aggressive buying (taking the offer) or aggressive selling (hitting the bid)

This must be the case as a buyer with 100,000,000 shares on the bid would NOT move the market. They have to be willing to step up and cross the spread.

Vice versa for the sellers.

Highs and lows trade in a series of new highs and new lows. (Broadening formations)

Thus, price trades in a series of broadening formations.

Series: A set of quantities constituting a progression or having the several values determined by a common relation.

This is a true statement that then can produce true levels of support / resistance. Example: NVDA

This is what we say when we want to go back through previous range. As each tri is reclaimed it’s more likely to continue.

We can then build upon the tri universal truth.

Every move starts by going inside. Then broadening formation. Then expansion.

The key is to identify when your inside. Then identify the new broadening formation.

THREAD Identifying when you’re inside is simple. Zoom out, if you go to an inside day you’ll see a new 60 tri. Inside month new daily tri. Inside quarter new weekly tri. Etc. This HAS to happen.

📚 Anatomy of a winning trade A Thread 📚 What was the market doing?

At the point of the simultaneous 2d-2u break in the XLU we had seen the market being a definite bear market with all sectors down on the month. This break in the utilities told us they were WILLING TO ROTATE. This normally suggest a short term bottom in indexes when this market condition occurs.

1) Just sticking to the #MindTheGap list that @ElaineBenes99 posts every day.

📚Rules

- Only trade 2-2 or 1-2 signals
- Trade with daily continuity
- Use the 30/60 2) Stick to the simultaneous breaks across the 4 major indexes

When you get all 4 indexes inside on the 60min you now have an actionable signal primed across the whole market. When a few of those break in the same direction the rest should follow.

📚 Rules

Just the 60 inside bar break
Ideally buy all of the signals that trigger.

Stops can be widened to the 60 continuity level due to higher conviction

Strat concepts such as being stuck on the HTF or at exhaustion risk still apply!

Simultaneous 2-1-2 can turn into 1-2-2 reversal should things fail!

Best to not get out until these reverse against you on the 60 because when they go.. they go!

💡New Traders Struggle with THREE things. And I'm here to give you a simple solution to #3.

1) Not understanding who is in control of price.

When trading, it is super important to know the larger 'trend' or direction of the market. Even if you're trading a 5 minute chart. 2) Most people do not have a solid strategy of identifying WHERE price is headed.

Without knowing where the move may likely end you will have no idea when you should be taking profits or be trading in the COMPLETE wrong direction.

Must know what is a swing low or swing high we'd deem as important.

A high probability orderblock in my definition is an aggressive move that gets reversed [box setup ;) ]
