If you're keeping track, the order of operations here is: 1) Candace Owens and Kanye West do their "White Lives Matter" stunt. 2) She spends the week defending him and his anti-Jewish rants. 3) He buys the third-tier social media company her husband runs.
What's the point of befriending a billionaire with mental health issues if you can't grift him out of some money?
Some really amazing bullshitting here about West's anti-Jewish rants but hey that's how you get the $$$.
I'd feel worse for him if not for all the antisemitism.
A reminder: Right-wing media con artists build connections with their audience, teach them "that mainstream information sources that present contradictory narratives can’t be trusted. And then they bilk those marks for all they are worth." mediamatters.org/fox-news/iverm…

The Washington Post appears to have changed the headline of their article about Kevin McCarthy signing off on the House GOP plan to leverage a debt crisis to cut Social Security and Medicare -- removing the mention of Social Security and Medicare. washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/…
Republicans are trying to be as cagey and nonspecific as possible about this because it's politically toxic to admit what they want to do -- cause a debt crisis as an excuse to cut entitlement programs -- right before an election.
Their strategy is to pretend they're not going to do what they've said for years they want to do for as long as they possibly can, then do it as quickly as possible. That's why last week's Bloomberg story featuring interviews with would-be House Budget chairs was so important.
Have you heard about the GOP's plan to threaten to cause an economic catastrophe if they don't get massive cuts to Social Security and Medicare? mediamatters.org/bloomberg/have…
Perhaps the single most consequential story of the midterms season broke this week, and there’s been virtually no coverage from major TV news shows, newspapers, and other mainstream outlets. Seems bad!
Republicans bend over backwards to avoid discussing their actual policy objectives because they are extremely unpopular with the American public -- when the mask slips, it is important for journalists to point that out.
🧵Fox & Friends spoke with a “panel of Virginia parents” this morning to discuss how “parental rights” are a major midterm issue and wouldn’t you know it, a bunch are also right-wing activists. 🧵 [h/t @tylermonroe7
Will Estrada, “Loudon County, VA dad of two,” is also president of the Parental Rights Foundation and a former Trump administration official and member of his transition team.
Cheryl Onderchain, “Loudon County mom of three,” also chairs the county’s Moms for Liberty chapter.
Sean Hannity, the Republican kingmaker, Trump confidante, and Fox News host, is the one who put Herschel Walker on the political map and set the stage for his nomination — and the GOP’s current political dilemma. mediamatters.org/fox-news/gops-…
Hannity helped turn Walker from a celebrity into a plausible GOP candidate. He gave Walker a platform to talk about political issues, and, in early 2021, started urging the volatile former NFL star to run for Senate.
No one did more to promote Herschel Walker's Senate run than Hannity. Walker owes his position to the patronage of a Fox prime-time host, just like the Republican Senate nominees in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Arizona.
The GOP's favored news outlet is telling its audience of vulnerable seniors that encouraging people to get updated boosters is "govt covid propaganda," and celebrating that uptake is low.
In a related story, Republicans are dying of COVID at higher rates than Democrats.
