π to the many people who have followed me since the day before yesterday, which incidentally was the 63rd anniversary of the KGB's assassination of Stepan Bandera in Munich. ('Who?' 1. β¬οΈ, 2.ππ»)
Believe it or not, the 'Bandera Organization' (OUN-B) is alive and well today. π§΅
Most of my followers might have wondered at some point what's my header image. Tbh I just needed something, but it's πΊπΈ OUN-B leaders making a pilgrimage to Bandera's grave on the 60th anniversary of his death. So this thread will be a 101 on OUN-B in πΊπΈ (sequels: π¬π§,π¨π¦,πΊπ¦,π¦πΊ?)
This is Borys Potapenko, chairman of the "International Council in Support of Ukraine," AKA the "World Council of Ukrainian Statehood Organizations," formerly known as the "World Ukrainian Liberation Front," an international coordinating body of OUN-B "facade structures" (fronts)
Potapenko seems to be the int'l coordinator of the far-right "Capitulation Resistance Movement" (ROK) organized in 2019 πΊπ¦ against Zelensky's efforts to end the war in Donbas. Potapenko is part of the ROK leadership, chaired by Andriy Levus, the deputy head of OUN-B for policy.
Potapenko, former exec.dir. of OUN-B's League of Ukrainian Canadians, is from Warren, MI, where he recently attended an event for a delegation of the neo-Nazi-led Azov movement. In 1978-79 he led a campaign against TV airing of "Holocaust" starring Meryl Streep and James Woods.
Let's move on to the πΊπΈ OUN-B leader, former NYU professor Walter "WAZ" Zaryckyj, president of the Ukrainian American Freedom Foundation (UAFF), which published the πΊπΈ OUN-B newspaper and owns 40% of the OUN-B headquarters building in Kyiv. WAZ accused me of bugging their πΊπΈ HQ.
"We're gonna go after Wiesenthal." In 1989, WAZ ranted to the OUN-B affiliated Ukrainian Youth Association in π¨π¦ about Nazi hunters Simon Wiesenthal and Charles R. Allen. WAZ is the longtime exec.dir. of the Center for US-Ukrainian Relations an important OUN-B "facade structure."
WAZ / Zaryckyj is the last known chairman of the International Scholarly Council of the Ukrainian World Congress. He admitted to me that he attended the April 2019 launch of far-right, anti-Zelensky "Protect Ukraine" campaign that grew into the "Capitulation Resistance Movement."
Walter Zaryckyj's Center for US-Ukrainian Relations (CUSUR) grew out of the "informational arm" of the UAFF, i.e. the πΊπΈ branch of the OUN-B's πΊπ¦ Central Information Service (UCIS) that shared its London HQ with a Stepan Bandera museum, the director of which led OUN-B in 1986-91.
CUSUR was establish in 2000 with its first steering committee chaired by Potapenko's mentor, Bohdan Fedorak, who died in 2021 as the chairman since 1986 of the honorary "Ukrainian State Board" in exile, established by OUN-B on June 30, 1941 in Nazi-occupied western Ukraine.
Next up: Paul Bandriwsky, last known treasurer of the "International Council in Support of Ukraine" (OUN-B coordinating body). Vice president of the Banderite-dominated Illinois Division of the @UkrCongComAm. I tweeted about him recently:
Paul Bandriwsky's brother Emil runs the Dnipro Ukrainian Cultural Center in Buffalo, owned by the Ukrainian American Freedom Foundation (OUN-B). Incidentally, this building appears to have been the birthplace of the Nazi 'German-American Bund.' banderalobby.substack.com/p/buffalo-wherβ¦
Olya Soroka, board member of the Ukrainian American Freedom Foundation, chairs the Holodomor Descendants' Network that is affiliated with the OUN-infested Ukrainian World Congress, the first vice president of which is Stefan Romaniw, international OUN-B leader from Melbourne, π¦πΊ
That leaves us with Bohdan Harhaj, who I've gathered is the "grey cardinal" of the group. But I think it's better to save this mysterious figure for a sequel thread on the OUN-B in π¬π§ because that is where he's from.
TBC(?):
What's next:
I suppose this is the part where I plug my (100% free) Substack about OUN-B, which I'm going to get going again after several months of inactivity. Recently I wrote this for my "Bandera Lobby Blog": banderalobby.substack.com/p/the-banderitβ¦

Half a dozen representatives of the neo-Nazi-led Azov movement in Ukraine are currently visiting the United States, taking meetings in Washington and reaching out to Ukrainian Americans. mossrobeson.medium.com/azov-delegatioβ¦
I'm not finished with the Banderites -- unfortunately, far from it -- but I've pigeonholed myself into only writing about OUN-B on my substack, so I'm thinking of making a new blog on Medium: "Ukes, Kooks, and Spooks." (Spooks as in spies, but also ghosts, i.e. history)
Update: the Azov delegation also met with Dan Crenshaw.
The π¨π¦ VOC memorial's virtual "Pathway to Liberty" includes at least a dozen members of the Banderite faction of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN-B) and/or Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), which largely perpetrated the Holocaust by Bullets in western Ukraine.
Many know by now that Nazi collaborator / ethnic cleanser Roman Shukhevych, UPA commander and the OUN-B leader in Ukraine (1943-50), is part of the "Pathway to Liberty." His "virtual brick" was donated by the "League of Ukrainian Canadians," an OUN-B front cbc.ca/news/politics/β¦
The League of Ukrainian Canadians (LUC) and its Women's Auxiliary dedicated virtual bricks to nine other people, at least five of them members of the OUN-B and/or UPA, such as Mykola Koshyk, National President of the Society of Veterans of UPA in Canada, as well as...
Natalie Jaresko, executive director of La Junta, with OUN-B leader Stefan Romaniw in Australia. Her brother is close to the Banderites in her hometown. For all the Ukrainian nationalist rhetoric about "captive nations," they don't seem to think that Puerto Rico counts as one.
Natalie Jaresko's brother John is the parish board president of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bloomingdale, Illinois, which honors the memory of Ukrainian Nazi collaborators and even hosted a controversial OUN-B conclave in 2019
Executive director of Puerto Rico's Financial Oversight and Management Board:
