This kind of tone deaf and dense response to a legitimate gripe gives "sex-positivism" a really bad name.
Suicide and depression are serious issues, but probably NOT related to lack of sex.
Also....you think women don't have depression or suicidal thoughts, or need of sex?
There is and should be no "entitlement" to sex. By men, women, or anyone else.
Sex needs to be negotiated between partners under the conditions of mutual respect, mutual consent, and mutual pleasure.
Also, private masturbation is 100% free. That's why we have porn and sex work.
And finally....the idea that we must pander to the "incel" belief that men are fully "entitled" to sex without any degree of consent or negotiation plays right into the hands of both Puritans and MRAs....with tragic results. #ElliotRoger#MarcLepine#DylannRoof (lesser extent).
Acknowledging that we are sexual beings and that the diversity of sexual practice can be celebrated is NOT a license to impose sex on unwilling folk.
There is a major difference between consensual flirting with a sex worker you paid to watch, and sending unsolicited dick pics.

OK....there's been A LOT of ink spilled and Twitter keyboard fingers sprained about this thread about the "right" to sex; and I'm going to offer my dime's worth to this.
The views expressed here are mine and mine alone; I take full responsibility for them.
My initial response when this first came about was that while I sympathized with Ms. Hunt's ideal of expanding the bounds of freedom regarding sex, her critics (particularly pro-sex work feminists) were just as absolutely correct in pointing out its limitations & complications.
The feminist argument against Ms. Hunt basically says that assuming a "right" to sex can easily morph dangerously into an "entitlement" to sex, which denies the right of refusal as well as the acceptance of boundaries regarding personal consent...a slippery slope in a patriarchy.
Well....I am right now to @briebriejoy's Great Replacement Theory/Tucker Carlson segment on YouTube.
Gotta say, I owe her an apology.
Though I still somewhat disagree with her underestimating the undercurrent of Carlson's bigotry, I can see what she is talking about.
@briebriejoy I know Brie gets hammered from all sides (from the Hillbot Democrats AND the Jimmy Dore Strasserites), and the Virgil Texas controversy is still used to slam her, but on this issue she is far more on point.
Yes, Tucker Carlson is a White Supremacist bigot.
@briebriejoy But, as she pointed out, the fundamental reason why Carlson's "GRT" scores so well with White conservatives has far more to do with the failure of Democrat liberals and "moderates" to address fundamental economic inequality.
For the benefit of those not in the know: I have been off of work these past five months on sick leave due to recurring dizziness and hypoglycemia that has seriously affected my ability to work.
I have been using disability leave from my job for my paycheck replacement.
Every time I file for an extension of my leave and for disability pay, the firm that processes my disability requires updated paperwork from my personal doctor on my condition before they release my disability pay for the two week pay period of work I am missing.
If that paperwork is filed and received by my insurance company by the last Friday of the biweekly pay period, they can then release my disability funds to my job, which then pays me through Direct Deposit as they would normally do with a typical paycheck.
Gotta love it when a wingnut makes wrong assumptions about what I tweeted, and then assumes that I, fully employed taxpayer for 25 years, merely wants to mooch off his right to control my life.
Apparently, 25 years of gainful employment disqualifies me from suggesting that poor people actually have some autonomy over their lives and actual be treated like human beings and not guinea pigs.
Limehead may not realize this, but even during my sick leave when I have not been working, I still managed to pay more in taxes than Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and half the billionaires...combined.
How much control would he give to those businesses who got PPP loans forgiven?
The fundamental Puritanical Law of Relief and Aid: "If we give you *our* money, we get to impose *our* control over your life. Don't like it? Get a job or three, and get off our dime."
This essential principle is the total foundation of how direct relief in the United States is maintained and distributed, and why it is so miserly and restrictive and regressive.
It is also the foundation of right-wing control over the poor, working and otherwise.
Direct relief in this country is distributed on the principle that the recipient must prove either suffering and injury so severe and "undeserved", or deference to those giving the aid almost to the point of absolute blind obedience.
I told my landlord of the situation regarding my disability pay & the delay in paying my rent, and he went OFF on me. "No more excuses, pay up by Thursday morning or you are OUT OF HERE!!!", he basically said.
Gonna need that $300 real soon.
Even though I brought the paperwork to my doctor early in order to avoid this, they still managed to dwadle and delay to the point that I won't get my disability biweekly check this week.
This is getting repeatedly stupid.
AGAIN.
So, once again, I seek y'allz for help in this. You've come through for me everytime before; I'm hoping you have enough to help me here, too.
