This escalated quickly.

From October 18th to October 20th, the CDC reported 260,881 new Covid cases and 5,476 new deaths (though it was 5,111 according to the difference in totals.)

Last week there were 2,663 Covid deaths reported.
The CDC will be reporting weekly going forward, despite Covid deaths ::checks notes:: doubling?

Are they clearing a backlog? What is this?
Soooo can anyone explain this, or…?
Remember, only 4%-5% of Covid cases are currently reported…

We have absolutely NO IDEA how much Covid there is, until deaths suddenly double & hospitals are overflowing. Flying blind.

🎯 We’re led to believe the mass disease that is *literally everywhere* is all Not-Covid, so no need to take precautions. Almost 5500 Covid deaths were reported last week, while countless others are quietly disabled.

Meanwhile, media won’t mention “Covid” or “masks.”
It feels very much like we are frogs, cheerfully swimming in a pot of water, about to be boiled alive.

We’ve also been ignoring this event. US hospitals got rid of all their public health precautions & decided on surgical masks for airborne pathogens. This is going to end very badly.

When I had my 3rd child over a decade ago, I was on a controlled medication that is stigmatized, but perfectly safe in pregnancy. My doctor was aware, it was no big deal, & she was very kind, but the hospital still called CPS when I tested positive, even though I told them I was on it. They insinuated I must be a drug addict, & it was the most traumatic experience of my life. My father in law had been the OBGYN chief of staff at that very hospital before he passed away 2 months before my kid was born. CPS interrogated me after my C-section. The baby tested negative for the prescription drug, but they wanted to test meconium. Nurses stalked me—posted up outside my room, coming in every 10 minutes waiting to collect the meconium—& I fell the fuck apart. I had my doctor’s cell phone number & I called her to come intervene. She marched up there and SCREAMED at the nursing staff. It was the most uncomfortable moment of my life. CPS cleared me, but I will NEVER recover from that experience. Ever. It radicalized me.

The city’s child welfare agency is not supposed to remove children solely because of a parent’s marijuana use. A mother says the agency did so anyway, and now she is suing.
