1. My fellow Nigerians, we stand at the threshold of our destiny as a unique nation – home to over 200 million industrious people – recognised globally as an economic powerhouse and natural leader amongst African nations.
2. We seek a greater Nigeria regarded by both its people and its international partners as a strong, stable, and prosperous federation driven by equality and good governance.
3. The Tinubu/Shettima Action Plan for a Better Nigeria today is not only a roadmap to a prosperous future, it serves as notice to the
Nigerian people that, if elected, Senator Shettima and I shall work tirelessly to reach that promised future from the day we enter office.
4. I ask you to join Senator Shettima and I on this journey. We share the peoples’ desire for a peaceful Nigeria where we all coexist in fairness, prosperity and with balanced representation in positions of authority.
5. We recognize that no Nigerian wants empty answers to hard questions at this hour. Nigerians seek true and innovative solutions that address the specific challenges of each of our 36 states and our 200 million people. We need our own Miracle on the Niger River.
6. We shall deliver bold and assertive security measures to enable a strong yet adaptive national security architecture that will obliterate terror, kidnapping, banditry and violent crime from the face of our nation.
7. We shall build a Nigeria where sufficient jobs with decent wages create a better life for all and a future of promise for our youth.
8. We shall revive our manufacturing industries and place Nigeria back on the path of industrialisation and job creation.
9. We shall generate, transmit and distribute sufficient, affordable electricity to drive businesses and brighten homes.
10. We shall manufacture, produce and market increased quantities of the essential goods and services we require.
Nigeria shall be known as a nation of creators, not just consumers.
11. We shall deliver food security and affordability by continuing to prioritise agriculture.
12. We shall modernise and expand public infrastructure to stimulate economic growth at an optimal rate.
13. We shall embolden and support our young people and women to participate more in politics and governance.
14. We shall harness emerging sectors such as the digital economy, entertainment, tourism and sport to build, today, the Nigeria of tomorrow.
15. We shall train and give economic opportunity to people with disabilities, the poor and the vulnerable.
16. We shall make affordable healthcare, education and housing accessible for all.
17. Governing Nigeria is a sacred trust which I do not take lightly. Such responsibility requires the best brains and the most skilled hands from across our nation. Most importantly, it requires the right leader.
18. Through the initiatives set forth in our Action Plan, we shall provide equality of opportunity, social justice, prosperity, and security for all.
Our journey begins now! God bless you and God bless our beloved republic, Nigeria.

Today, I joined the ongoing 3rd Ministerial Performance Review of the President Muhammadu Buhari led government being held in Abuja.
I listened intently to the various submissions, success stories and highlights, including the most challenging areas in which more must be done to improve the lot of the Nigerian people.
I have resolved to build upon the gains of this administration; adding new ideas that will deliver value for all Nigerians.
I felicitate with the good people of Ekiti on the occassion of the swearing in today, of Governor Biodun Oyebanji as the new Governor of Ekiti State who takes over from Governor Kayode Fayemi.
I must also commend the seamless transition - the first of its kind in Ekiti. It is my sincere hope that this new beginning will usher in even greater progress for the people of the state.
A nation can only deliver good governance when there is sustainability of good government policies and institutions; which are development and people focused.
Sustainable governance and good government are the bedrock upon which resilient economies are built. This was the underlying theme at KADINVEST 7.0, the investment summit of Kaduna State led by it’s performing Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
I reiterated that as leaders, we must not only build infrastructure and develop our economy but we must also invest in people, capacity development, frameworks for sustainability in leadership and reforms.
This will ensure institutions and reforms are sustained beyond the lifecycle of any government for the benefit of all.
Today, I congratulate elder statesman and eminent leader in Lagos State and Nigeria, Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, on his 86th birthday.
A mentor and partner on the progressive front over the years, Prince Olusi has provided rare leadership and guidance for many of us in Lagos State and beyond.
He has contributed immensely to the development of Lagos in all spheres of life including political, economic and traditional.
President Buhari’s Optimism About APC Commendable- Asíwájú Tinubu
Recently, President Buhari made a characteristically concise and important statement regarding the strength and purpose of our political party, All Progressives Congress. He underscored the need for the party

to perfect its internal processes so that it keeps faith to the progressive purpose for which it was founded: to bring forth a better society through just and compassionate good governance.
While the election season is upon us and politics begins to acquire a heavy

intensity, we must never lose sight of this higher purpose, this greater good. Like the president said, we all must recall how progressive forces forged an alliance that produced the APC.
Our party came into being to answer the call of reform so that progressive governance

Like all decent Nigerians, I am angered and troubled by the terror and cruelty being visited upon the people of Borno, Yobe, Benue, Niger, Imo and other parts of the nation.
2. These attacks have caused many to disparage our military and security forces. This we must not do. Valiant men and women serve in our security forces, risking their lives to protect us.
3. We stand with them. Government also must continue to encourage the security forces to do their utmost to subdue this threat. The lives of innocent Nigerians and the future progress of the nation may lie in the balance.
