There is no evidence Corbyn’s Labour Party showed any ‘hostility to Jewish people.’ The claims made by you in this regard have been comprehensively falsified.

One example of this falsification is the Al Jazeera documentary series ‘The Labour Files’. This contains hard evidence of fraud in your Ware Panorama.

This, for instance, where a Labour activist, Rica Bird, asking a Labour Party investigator, Ben Westerman, ‘Which branch are you from?’ becomes the question ’Are you from Israel?’

Ms Bird happened to record the interview, and her words are perfectly clear on the tape. There can be no further dispute about whether Westerman’s claim is true or false: Rica Bird’s tape recording shows it to be false beyond any reasonable doubt.

That’s just one example of many, and immediately calls into question the veracity of your Ware Panorama claims about ‘Labour antisemitism’. You used a liar, and his lie has now been made public. There is no legitimate dispute about this anymore.

In your response to my complaint, you say ‘As we’ve explained, we will not be commenting on the Al Jazeera series ‘The Labour Files’.’

You give no reason why you will not. You frequently comment on other broadcasters’ output - Love Island (ITV), to take just one example. bbc.co.uk/news/topics/cr… -

So there can be no legitimate reason why you refuse to comment on a documentary aired by Al Jazeera which incontrovertibly contradicts claims made by you in your (now infamous) Ware Panorama, and which you have used to claim there was ‘hostility to Jewish people’ under Corbyn.

Mason’s claim, therefore, that there was ‘hostility to Jewish people’ under Corbyn is plainly false and must be corrected. ‘Accuracy’ is a Charter requirement, and you are obliged under your Charter to correct any inaccuracies. You must now correct this one, on air and in print.

This is about your reputation. You have made a very serious accusation against a prominent UK politician and tens of thousand of people: that claim has been shown to be false. You must now correct it, or your Charter means nothing and your reputation is lost.
