Woke activists say they simply care more. But a pioneering psychologist, Sam Vaknin, who studies narcissism says, "The potential for aggression in victimhood movements is much larger than in the general population... Anything that is grievance-based leads to violence and death."
“Certain people are prone to adopt victimhood as an identity. Victimhood endows their life with meaning. They would seek to be victims even in situations where they would not have been victimized otherwise. When they are not victimized, they push you to become victimized.”
“The infiltration of narcissists and psychopaths is universal in all these victimhood movements and they become the public face of the movement,” says Vaknin.

“It’s very dangerous because if you are a perennial victim and this is your identity, you would tend to develop attendant behaviors, for example, you would feel entitled to special treatment and if you don’t get this special treatment you will become aggressive.”
Researcher @GingerCoy added, “Part and parcel of our narcissistic culture is black-and-white dichotomous thinking” known as “splitting,” which she defines as a primitive defense mechanism and regressive thinking consistent with narcissism.”

Sound familiar?

“Everyone says that there is no black-and-white issue, but I think this is. Either we go on as a civilization or we don’t.”

Adds Coy, “If a person laments that they are a victim, in this narcissistic age, it should be a red flag that they are likely a perpetrator.”

Vaknin begins the discussion of Wokeism at 34 min.

Vaknin admits to being a convicted criminal, narcissist, and victim of parental abuse, which he freely discusses at the beginning of the interview. Worth watching.

"You're just saying this because you don't care, unlike us activists, who care so much!!!"

The vast majority of people believe climate change is real and those who don’t won’t be persuaded by vandalism. What’s really behind the protests, besides money from Hollywood elites & heirs to oil fortunes, is religious fanaticism, exhibitionist narcissism, and infantilism.
“In general, the public's views about global warming …are similar to what they have been each year since 2016. However, this stability masks growing divergence between Republicans and Democrats.”

And infantile protests will alienate Republicans more

Climate narcissists aren’t interested in persuasion. They just want attention

Woke activists say they just care more. But a growing body of research finds higher levels of narcissism and infantilization among activists. The finding is supported by their new tactics of throwing food, screaming, and threatening to poop their pants.

Activists haven’t always sought to be juvenile. Martin Luther King, Gandhi, and Greenpeace at other moments in history balanced shock with other values, like dignity, maturity, and credibility.
Young civil rights activists in the 1950s sat at lunch counters and demanded to be treated like adults. Notably, it was racist counterprotesters who poured milkshakes over them. Today, it’s the protesters who are spilling milk and throwing food. Image

This is tinfoil hat stuff. There is zero evidence of price-fixing and you know it. The reason for high gasoline prices is because of high taxes and your opposition to expanded refinery capacity.
“We’re operating now in a ... tight market,” said Shon Hiatt, a University of Southern California associate professor of business. “So if one refinery goes off to do maintenance, the prices are going to jump, because we don’t have much slack.”

michaelshellenberger.substack.com/p/gaslighting-…
Experts have been warning for decades that the state lacked refinery capacity. A 2000 report by the state’s attorney general pointed to constraints on supply for California’s “unique clean-burning gasoline,” and "higher taxes as the reason for the state’s higher prices."

California may become the 4th largest economy in the world bc the German economy in 2023 will shrink 0.4% not because California is succeeding. In fact, California's population has shrunk for two years in a row bc so many people are fleeing the state due to gross mismanagement.
More *total* people fled San Francisco and Los Angeles than any other city in the US, including New York, because California is a disaster of worsening crime, rampant homelessness, and the highest taxes in the country, all of which have worsened since you became governor.
"Forty-four percent of San Francisco voters plan to eventually leave the city, citing homelessness, the high cost of living and rising crime as the top reasons for looking elsewhere, according to the inaugural San Francisco Standard Voter Poll."

Activists who just threw food on a Monet painting say we won’t be able to feed ourselves in 2050 bc of climate change, but the best-available UN science predicts *higher* yields — unless we stop using fertilizer, which is what the activists are demanding

Yields have risen even as temperatures increased by 1.1 degrees above pre-industrial temps. The UN Food & Ag Org (FAO) predicts rising yields under even very high temps so long as farmers keep using fertilizer, irrigation, & tractors & don't take the advice of climate activists.
Take a close look at this UN FAO slide. The impact of climate change is dwarfed by technological change in both rainfed and irrigated farms. Business-as-usual leads to the highest (25%) increases. Adopting "sustainability" (eg only organic fertilizer) leads to the lowest.

For over two years, the media have insisted that woke policies had nothing to do with rising crime. It turns out that voters, including most Democrats, don’t believe them, and rightly so.
Most voters have been able to see through the lies. If it looks like a religion and acts like a religion…

michaelshellenberger.substack.com/p/why-wokeism-…
What about energy? Same story. The media have insisted that Biden is not responsible for higher energy prices. Voters, rightly, don’t believe it.
