Moderators introducing the closed captioning system in use tonight.
Fetterman out of the gate:
“I’m running to serve Pennsylvania. He’s running to use Pennsylvania.”
Acknowledging his stroke as the "elephant in the room."
"I had a stroke - he’s never let me forget that. It knocked me down, I'm gonna keep getting back up."
Oz repeatedly hammering words like: civility, stability, balance...looking to paint himself as the moderate choice and calling his opponent "extreme."
Asked about raising the minimum wage, Fetterman talks about dignity of work. But struggles with a follow-up question about his message to small businesses that say they can't afford it. Reiterates his support for a higher minimum wage.
Oz once again refuses to simply say yes or no on federal abortion ban. Uses a line he used in our interview that he's giving a "bigger answer" that fed gov shouldn't be involved.
Asked to clarify: "Yes or no on Lindsey Graham bill?"
Oz: "I think I've answered it very clearly."
Fetterman asked if he will pledge to release his medical records.
He reiterates what he told us in our interview: "Transparency is about showing up...I've been out in front of big crowds...my doctors believe I'm fit to serve."
Fetterman asked about a 2018 intv where he said he doesn't support fracking at all vs his quote from our @NBCNews intv earlier this month where he said he supports it.
He reiterates his support for it. In a followup on conflicting statements - he repeats "I support fracking."
Fetterman asked about law enforcement endorsements for Shapiro and Oz and accusations that he's "soft on crime"
"I run on my record on crime." Touts his time as Mayor of Braddock" Saying he fought gun violence "working with the police and working with our community."
Oz commits to supporting Trump if he runs in 2024.
Oz brings up 2013 incident when Fetterman pulled a shotgun on an unarmed black jogger. Asks why he won't apologize.
Fetterman repeats his answer from the primary: "Split-second decision" that "everybody in Braddock...the majority of the black community understood what happened."
Asked exactly how Fetterman plans to reduce the cost of college:
"I just believe...it costs too much, and I believe providing the resources to reduce the tuition, allow families to be able to afford it."

NEW: @NBCNews has verified these images of Barnette marching toward the Capitol on Jan 6 alongside member of the Proud Boys who were later arrested and indicted for breaking into the building and attacking officers. 1/4
Her campaign's response:
“Kathy was in DC to support President Trump and demand election accountability.
Any assertion that she participated in or supported the destruction of property is intentionally false.
She has no connection whatsoever to the proud boys." 2/4
We asked Barnette about Jan 6 in our exclusive interview:
"I feel about January 6, the way the left feels about the summer of 2020 when you have Black Lives Matter and Antifa and other groups out there looting and robbing and everyone was calling it mostly peaceful protests." 3/4
THREAD: I just spent 3 days with frontline workers at hospitals in a part of Appalachia where hospitalizations have more than doubled in the last month. But hospital staff say many in their hard-hit communities still don’t believe COVID is real. Misinformation is rampant.
One nurse told me stories of otherwise healthy 30 year-olds coming in short of breath and not understanding why. She tries showing them chest x-rays and explaining evidence of the disease, but often they don’t believe they have COVID until they’re in critical condition.
Another nurse told me some come in severely sick with COVID, but when they test positive they blame the hospital for giving it to them. There’s a popular conspiracy theory that hospitals are benefitting financially from COVID. But in fact, many are struggling to stay afloat.
