The Etymology of 'Yggdrasil'
(A Short 🧵)

In Stanza 138 of the poem Hávamál, the All-Father Odin says,

"I know that I hung on a windy tree
nine long nights,
wounded with a spear, dedicated to Odin,
myself to myself,
on that tree of which no man knows
from where its roots run."

In Norse cosmology, Yggdrasil is an immense and central sacred tree. Around it exists all else, including the Nine Worlds.

The Tree of Life or World Tree in a Central Theme in Almost All Mythologies Around the World.

The generally accepted meaning of Old Norse Yggdrasill is "Odin's Horse", meaning "gallows". This interpretation comes about because drasill means "Horse" and Ygg(r) is one of Odin's many names.

As we have covered in numerous threads, the Bible is a Alchemical Guide to the Regeneration of the Spinal Fire (Kundalini).

The Allegorical Meeting of the Queen of Sheba & King Solomon is no different.

In the original story, the Queen of Sheba brings a caravan of valuable gifts NORTH for the Israelite King Solomon.

Sheba means SEVEN. Along the Spine, there is SEVEN Main Chakras. She is called the Queen of the South. The Kundalini resides in the 'South' or Bottom of the Spine.

In Hinduism, Sheba would be known as the Red Goddess, Tripura Sundari, the Supreme Shakti who resides in the Muldahara or ROOT Chakra.

The Brahmanda Purana reads, "She alone is the greatest destination. She alone is the great holy place of pilgrimage. She is the SEED & RESULT."

The Gates of the Heavens (🧵)

The Galaxy, Macrobius says, crosses the Zodiac in two opposite points, Cancer & Capricorn, the tropical points in the sun's course, ordinarily called the Gates of the Sun. These two tropics were styled the Gate of Man & the Gate of the G-ds.

Before Macrobius's time, these Two Solstice Points corresponded with Cancer & Capricorn, but in his day Gemini & Sagittarius, due to the precession of the equinoxes; but the signs of the Zodiac remained unchanged; and the Milky Way crossed at the signs Cancer & Capricorn.

The Mason's encode this knowledge using the symbol of the sun and the two tangent lines. The points of the tangent lines are the two Gates of the Sun, in the macrocosmic sense. These Two Gates are, also, known as the Gate of the G-ds (Golden) & the Gate of Man (Silver).
