THANK YOU to all who’ve retweeted anything from me and our campaign tribe on @evusheld4theuk in the past 6 mths. You, our media & medical allies are our only route to getting the message out to beyond our echo chamber to convey how important this is, how it affects everyone.👇
We’re seeing breakthrough with backing from MPs, but not there yet. Please don’t give up on us. We still need you. If you’re near Parliament Green at lunchtime, pop by for a chat.
Apart from that, please let your MP and @SteveBarclay know you’re on our side. 🙏 #Forgotten500k

Here’s a plan for your ‘trial’ of #Evusheld .. Buy it for the #Forgotten500k NOW, and observe what happens. You’ll soon see how effective it is with Omicron. I’ll sign any release you want.. any disclaimer. You can have all the glory. But an RCT?👇
How long would it take? How many would sign up for it? Do you think ppl who’ve been shielding for so long to protect themselves would be willing to risk being given a placebo, knowing they risk death? Be serious.
What you’re proposing is unethical and makes no sense. Wake up!👇
P.S. Had to delete previous post on this to get rid of an irksome, poisonous little imp. Apologies to all those who had liked and shared before.
Evusheld.. the cost argument doesn’t make sense. In August, @drlennardlee shared data that only 13.2% of eligible were successfully accessing the emergency post-infection anti-virals/antibodies within the 5 day window. This explains why about a third of ICUs were occupied with👇
our dying, leading up to the July wave. (Source: ICNARC. Likely to be worse as the new wave crests). 👇
With the cost of ICU beds, staffing, etc, costing £3,000 pp/night, and Evusheld expected to cost the govt £1,600 pp/pa, the economics don’t add up. Do they? 👇
#Evusheld4Everyone
An appeal for your help. Not £££, just a few moments of your time.
Immune compromised need Evusheld. We’re not paid to tell you that.. we’re just desperate, b/c covid wld be much more serious for us than you. We’re not able to fight it, and can’t
👇
respond well, if at all, to our vaccines. Evusheld would bridge that gap. 34 other countries use it to protect their CEVs, and it’s working well. For reasons that don’t add up, our govt has not granted it to the #Forgotten500k in the UK. 👇
We’ve already been shielding non-stop for 2.5 yrs. They’re intent on making it 3.5 yrs, and it is driving us C-C-C-C-CRAYYZEEE!! And it’s not just the 500k, it’s families who shield alongside. 👇
#Forgotten500k
I’m one of them. One of the 500k with low immunity, so I can’t make many (if any) antibodies to fight Covid in response to the 5 💉 I’ve had. I’ve shielded alone, continuously, for 2.5 yrs, but there are many of us who’ve had family shielding with us, so..
.. many more than 500k are affected.. lost jobs, businesses, education and social lives. For me, the most painful part has been feeling abandoned, of no value, dismissed and expendable. It’s heartbreaking.
We desperately need EVUSHELD, and we turn every angle..
..upside down. There is no valid reason to refuse it, and it will help you with your top four objectives.. A, B, C & D. Please consider adding E for EVUSHELD to that list PDQ. Winter Covid is on our doorstep, and delay will kick all your goals into the middle of next year.
@Martin24051921@theresecoffey Have read it now, and thoroughly applaud your draft response, both in style and depth. Exemplary work.
My only question is about the reference to the option of withholding Evusheld being cheaper? So many of us are reaching/have reached their mental health limit for shielding👇
@Martin24051921@theresecoffey for yet another winter, so we’re seeing a number of ppl declaring their intention to disregard it now. I suspect those we’ve seen in our campaign group are the tip of the iceberg, and with a winter wave approaching, there is going to be an increase in NHS resources required👇
@devisridhar Trade-offs should not include the social murder that has taken place in this country. Since the MHRA approved Evusheld in March, 500 immuno compromised died in the first 3 mths, only 13.2% eligible patients had access to Sotrovimab, 27% of ICU beds are occupied by CEVs👇
@devisridhar We are 26 times more likely to die from Covid, our best chance of survival is to continue shielding.. 2.5 years now, and counting. Many of us cannot avoid the now terrifying prospect of attending hospital appts, using public transport, and as for using a dentist or optician? 👇
@devisridhar There are no effective mitigations to protect us; many of us are seronegative in response to the vaccines, and we are under increasing pressure from anti-maskers to stop wearing our respirators. They don’t bother me, but many are feeling intimidated by aggressive bullies.👇
