Media need to find a new way to report Kremlin statements, clearly indicating that since the Kremlin has said it, the opposite is probably true.
Examples:
1. Putin says that he is not going to invade Ukraine (before Feb 24).
Translation: Putin says he is going to invade Ukraine.
2. Putin says that Russia complies with international law.
Translation: Putin says that Russia ignores international law.
3. Putin says that Russia is not bombing hospitals or civilian installations.
Translation: Putin says that Russia is targeting hospitals and civilian installations.
4. Putin accuses Ukraine and the US of developing biological arms in Ukraine.
Translation: Putin is considering using biological arms in Ukraine.
5. Putin accuses Ukraine of planning to use a dirty bomb in Ukraine.
Translation: Putin is considering using a dirty bomb in Ukraine.
6. Putin states that he has always been open to negotiations about Ukraine.
Truth: Putin has refused to even talk to Zelensky after December 2019.
Translation: Putin is losing & hope somebody else will stop the successful Ukrainian offensive & offer Putin parts of Ukraine.
7. Putin denies that he has ever questioned the need for good relations with Ukraine.
Translation: Putin has for the time being given up his hope to annihilate the Ukrainian nation.
Usually, Putin just states the opposite of what is true, but his latest statements also indicate that he realizes that he has lost and had better to opt for some minimum achievement. Still, it makes no sense to talk to such a liar & terrorist.
For journalists, the task remains to clarify that every statement from the Kremlin is likely to be a lie.
They should label all Kremlin statements:
"Since this is a statement by the Kremlin, it is likely to be a lie."

The Russian armed forces have focused on damaging the Ukrainian electricity system, first Ukrenergo's assets, the grid & transmission stations & then power generators, mainly owned by DTEK. So far they have concentrated on heated power stations. The Russians bomb repeatedly.
By bombing the same targets repeatedly, the
Russians have pretty much exhausted the Ukrainian spare equipment, while the Ukrainian energy sector has skilful & courageous repairmen. The West needs to supply ample spares of major equipment asap:
The most urgent electricity needs:
1. Equipment for electricity supply restoration. The most acute problem is the lack of equipment to restore energy supply. Since the beginning of the war, over 107 missiles and drones were targeted at DTEK power plants and grids.

My experience of negotiations with and in the Russian government is that you always escalate for as long as you can. Then, all of the sudden, if the Russian government side realizes that it has lost, it gives up and comes to an agreement in no time. Everybody is happy.
Does Putin deviate from the standard Russian pattern? People point to his experiences in Chechnya & Syria, where he just escalated until he won, but there he could win because of Russia's greater force. Ukraine is so different.
Today, Ukraine has an active army of 750,000 men. Russia tried to attack Ukraine with 200,000 men & appears to have had only 100,000 in active reserves. Ukraine has plenty of modern Western weapon, while Russia has obsolete Soviet arms & not enough.

Suddenly, everything is changing. Why? Because Ukraine has successfully defeated Russia & the US under @POTUS has got everything right. This is a crucial point in global affairs. Will democracy & freedom or kleptocracy & dictatorship win? I bet on freedom.
We all know who the main culprits are: Putin, the Ayatollahs & MBS. At least the two first have to go. That will have to be a domestic process.
Now, it appears folly of any top Russian not to try to oust Putin, because he is likely to drive them all to their death, as Hitler did with so much of his last crew. All his closest men are billionaires. You can buy so much for a billion, notably freedom. Why die for Putin?

Carl Bildt: "This is best way to counter Putin’s nuclear threats"
"First, it should be stated that any use of nuclear weapons should immediately make regime change in Russia the explicit aim of Western policy."
washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/…
Bildt: "Second, it should be stated very clearly that any Russian nuclear attack ... would in no way alter the fundamental policy of the West. Such an action would, on the contrary, strengthen the determination to make certain that Putin loses the war he has initiated."
Bildt: "Third, the West should seek to preemptively mobilize the broadest possible international support for this policy."
"Fourth, a special effort should be made to engage the wavering nations of China and India."

Putin on Ukraine: "Thus, the Kiev regime, by its actions, has actually put itself on the same level as international terrorist groups, and with the most odious of those. It is simply no longer possible to leave crimes of this kind without retaliation."
en.kremlin.ru/events/preside…
Putin: "In the event of more attempts to stage terrorist attacks on our territory, Russia's response will be harsh and commensurate with the threats posed to the Russian Federation. Nobody should have any doubts about that."
Putin is outraged that Ukraine carries out any military activities in Russia, while he kills tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilians & promotes his worst butchers.
High time to designate Russia a state sponsor of terrorism!

Russia (Putin) needs to be forced to end its war of aggression against Ukraine. This is unacceptable from any point of view of international law. What can be done?
1. Somebody can bomb Moscow, Sochi & Valdai (Putin's residences). Who should do it? Why not? Why only Kyiv?
2. The Security Council, the highest real source of power in Russia, could take out Putin. Do so!
3. Some faction of the Russian secret police could arrest or kill Putin.
4. The suffering ethnic minorities that are sent as cannon fodder to Ukraine could rebel.
5. The unwilling recruits who are being mishandled could start shooting their commanders as in 1917-18.
6. The Ukrainian Armed Forces can clean out the Russian forces in Ukraine.
7. If necessary to end the war, the Ukrainian troops could march on Moscow.
