Well, I won't quit Twitter, I'm meeting too many awesome people around the world here. I'm going to keep twittering concept art and models of popular stuff and unsung stuff and paying tribute to artists and storytellers and complaining of my roof and climate change. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
Twitter is a great tool that I like to use (so far).
However, if YOU plan to leave Twitter, please bookmark my Patreon. That way you'll hear from me, you can read my articles, and I'll try to do some "best of" or that sort of thing.
And after watching Toy Story, The Clone Wars, Prodigy, Kirikou or My Neighbor Totoro with my kids, it's always a pleasure to watch exception, Arcane, Edgerunners, GitS, Akira, Heavy Metal or Spirited Away.
What's wonderful about Outer Wilds (2019) is that @Mobius_Games based the game design not on combat or trading, but on curiosity and the pursuit of knowledge.
Outer Wilds is more Trek than Star Trek itself. And it's literally a space trek.
@Mobius_Games Such a brilliant game, there is one per decade.
I am delighted that my sons have more and more of these kinds of games, with other forms of interaction than fighting or bargaining. They were already on Subnautica, but Outer Wilds takes the concept of curiosity even further.
@Mobius_Games What is behind this hill? On this moon that this text found in a ruin was talking about?
An open world with lots of things to discover but without a list of quests, "do this quest then this quest". Just the freedom to be curious and seek to understand the world and other people.
